Where Are You, Jay Bennett? (2021)
Jay Walter Bennett was a guitarist, pianist, organist, bassist, and drummer, who also played the Mellotron, banjo , synthesizer and harmonica. He was a musical engineer, producer, and singer-songwriter, best known as a member of the band Wilco from 1994 to 2001. Before Wilco Bennett was a founding member of Titanic Love Affair. After Wilco Bennett released 5 solo albums with good reception and sales. Prior to his career in music, he was a middle school math teacher and did part-time work as an electronics technician. Bennett died in 2009 from an accidental overdose of fentanyl delivered via a pain patch he was prescribed while he was waiting to undergo hip replacement surgery.
