Guillermo del Toro's Frankensteinhas finally been unveiled, and his monster is everything fans were hoping to see.

Fans got their first look at Guillermo del Toro's version of the infamous Frankenstein's Monster, not to mention stars Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac, and other stars from the director's upcoming Frankenstein feature film, all courtesy of Vanity Fair. Along with the exclusive image reveals, several of which can be seen below, the exclusive also included an interview with Del Toro, during which he dove deep into the essence of his Frankenstein, promising that, "[Boris] Karloff looms eternal. Bernie [Wrightston] looms eternal. But we are not doing Karloff and we're not doing Bernie, and we're not doing Mary [Shelley]."

"This is, for me, the culmination of a journey that has occupied most of my life. I first read Mary Shelley‘s Frankenstein as a kid and saw Boris Karloff in what became for me an almost religious state.

New images from Guillermo del Toro's version of Frankenstein have been revealed. The Shape of Water director is taking on the classic Mary Shelley text of the same name. His version will feature Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi as his monster, with a supporting cast that includes Mia Goth, Charles Dance, Christoph Waltz, Burn Gorman, David Bradley, Felix Kammerer, and Christian Convery.

This monster horror film will run around 2.5 hours and be distributed by Netflix. It is expected for release in November.

This July, Netflix is starting the fireworks early. Pacific Rim, Guillermo del Toro's 2013 monsters vs. robots blockbuster, is coming to the streaming service. Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, and Rinko Kikuchi star in the science fiction extravaganza, which grossed over $400 million Usd from the global box office. Pacific Rim will be available to stream on Netflix starting on July 1. It joins Pacific Rim: The Black, a Netflix-original animated series that is also available to watch on the streamer.

Pacific Rim came about in the wake of another project collapsing: del Toro's long-dreamed-of adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness. The film was penned by del Toro and Travis Beacham, and was conceptualized as a loving homage to mecha anime and kaiju movies. The film, which bore a $190 million budget, was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; it was del Toro's first film produced there, and it has subsequently become his home base.

The 2022 thriller Watcher just landed on Netflix, and I’ve got to ask you guys to watch it. You know, it’s the kind of movie that creeps up on you… slowly, silently. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein movie is set to arrive on Netflix later this year, but the film just got a freakishly exciting update. Today at the Cannes Film Festival, Collider’s Steve Weintraub was in attendance at a roundtable event with Richard Gelfond, CEO of IMAX. Gelfond spoke about IMAX plans for several upcoming movies, and he was asked if there were any plans for Frankenstein to be released in the custom format. Netflix has released movies like Glass Onion in limited theaters in the past for a week or two before the film begins streaming, so it wouldn’t be unheard of for Frankenstein to hit the big screen before its Netflix debut. While Gelfond made sure to mention that nothing is set in stone, he did confirm that an IMAX release for Frankenstein is “under discussion”:

We first heard about plans for a live-action Pacific Rim series last year, and we now have confirmation that the project is moving forward at Amazon Prime Video.

Variety reports that the show is being developed as part of a deal between lead studio Legendary Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Eric Heisserer will serve as writer and executive producer under his Chronology banner.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but we do know that the untitled series will serve as a prequel to the movies. Apparently, "there is still the potential for new films in the franchise as well."

The Pacific Rim franchise launched back in 2013 with Guillermo del Toro's original movie, which was followed in 2018 by Steve S. DeKnight's Pacific Rim: Uprising. Since then, we've had the Pacific Rim: The Black animated series, as well as various comic books, novels, video games and other tie-in merchandise.

Legendary’s Pacific Rim series has landed at Amazon MGM Studios. The two studios will adapt the IP together (with Legendary in first position) for Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service.

The Pacific Rim TV project, currently in development, is the first from Legendary’s first-look television deal with Eric Heisserer and his Chronology banner. Heisserer will write and executive produce the series.

According to sources, the plot remains a mystery, though new films in the franchise could emerge in addition to the prequel series. Pacific Rim earned $411M+ worldwide, with a sequel, Pacific Rim: Uprising, and an animated series, Pacific Rim: The Black, getting two action-packed seasons on Netflix. Heisserer is an Academy Award nominee for his Arrivalscript; recently, he wrote and showran Netflix's Shadow and Bone. His Pacific Rim series is to be a prequel to the 2013 film, which previously received a 2018 sequel and a 2021 Netflix animated series. The new series will be live-action, but it does not rule out any future theatrical films in the franchise, which have lingered in development hell since 2018's Pacific Rim: Uprising disappointed at the box office. There is no word yet on whether any of the film's characters or cast members will return, or if the ever-busy del Toro will have any involvement with the series.

But as much as the creative team didn't want to repeat themselves, some elements from the first film were probably destined to carry over. Max officially announced the streaming release date for Warner Bros. latest horror comedy Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which serves as the sequel to Tim Burtons classic 1988 gothic fantasy movie. This comes after more than two months since the Michael Keaton-led movie had made its theatrical debut.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has now been scheduled to start streaming on Friday, Dec. 6, exclusively on Max. During its theatrical run, the film earned a worldwide gross of $451 million at the box office against a reported budget of around $100 million. In addition to its commercial success, the sequel also received positive reviews from critics, who praised Burton and the cast for recapturing the first installments charm and magic. It also scored a Certified Fresh rating of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 356 reviews. At the moment, the sequel is currently available to rent or purchase on digital, as well as on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
