Today, Apple TV+ announced that the reimagined original kids and family series Yo Gabba GabbaLand! will return for season two on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Inspired by the standout cultural phenomenon Yo Gabba Gabba!, the magical, all-new 10-episode second season welcomes back host Kammy Kam and beloved Gabba characters Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee, and Plex.

Apple TV+ has announced the programming that will be added to the streaming service next month. The Apple TV Plus December 2024 lineup includes the romantic comedy Fly Me to the Moon, the documentary series The Secret Lives of Animals, the kids and family series Wonder Pets: In the City, and its holiday programming.

Apple TV+ offers premium, compelling drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment. It is available to watch across all of a user’s favorite screens.

Apple TV+ Unveils First Look at Crime Drama ‘Dope Thief’ (TV News Roundup)

Apple TV+ has unveiled the first look at its new eight-episode crime drama “Dope Thief” based on Dennis Tafoya’s book of the same name. Created by Peter Craig and executive produced by Ridley Scott, who also directs the pilot, the first two episodes premiere globally on Apple TV+ March 14, 2025, followed by new episodes every Friday until April 25.

According to the official logline, the series “follows long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern seaboard.”

Spin Master Entertainment, Company Behind ‘Paw Patrol,’ Announces ‘Vida the Vet’ (Exclusive)

Spin Master Entertainment, the production company behind children’s franchises “Paw Patrol” and “Bakugan,” has a new character coming to the party.

Variety has learned exclusively of the launch of “Vida the Vet,” which follows a preteen as she cares for a community of animals. The animated series will premiere in the fall of 2023 on BBC’s CBeebies and BBC iPlayer in the U.K., as well as Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse and StackTV in Canada. Other international broadcasting partners, including a distributor in the U.S., will be announced at a later date.

Vida, who is 10 years old, spends her days tending to the woodland creatures that live outside her home, from a fox with a sprained paw to a turtle with an itchy toe to a tiger with an aching tooth.

Today at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, PBS Kids announced production for the newest addition to the beloved PBS Kids lineup. Peg + Cat will premiere this fall on PBS Kids with a special one-hour broadcast of two back-to-back episodes, along with integrated online and mobile content. PBS Kids’ New Math Series ‘Peg + Cat’ Set For Fall Premiere: TCA
Diane Haithman is contributing to Deadline’s TCA coverage. PBS announced today that a new math series with a female lead, Peg + Cat, will premiere in the fall. At the summer 2012 TCA, PBS president Paula Kerger had spoken about PBS’ plan to develop a kids’ math series focusing on a girl character to spur young girls to become more enthusiastic about mathematics. In each episode, Peg and Cat encounter a problem that will call on them to use math and problem-solving skills. The series comes from The Fred Rogers Company and co-creators Billy Aronson and Jennifer Oxley.

"Up" Receives Animation's Highest Honor!
"Up" from Disney/Pixar won the top honor at the 37th Annual Annie Awards. The fantastic film received the Best Animated Feature Award beating out "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs," "Coraline," "Fantastic Mr. Fox," "The Princess and the Frog," and "The Secret of Kells."

Walt Disney Animation took home six other Annies including three for "The Princess and the Frog" and three for its television production "Prep and Landing."

Created in 1972 by veteran voice talent June Foray, the Annie Awards is considered the highest and most prestigious honor given in animation by the animation industry.

The Annie Awards is also a great predictor of the annual Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. So yes, "Up" will win that category at the Oscars!
