Only Murders in the Building showrunner John Hoffman teases how season 5's mystery will be "very different" from previous seasons. The end of Only Murders in the Building season 4 saw the show's main trio discovering that the Arconia's doorman, Lester (Teddy Coluca), had been murdered.

Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) were also visited by Sofia Caccimelio (Téa Leoni), who asked for help with finding her missing husband, who seemingly has ties to the mafia, and whose disappearance likely connects to Lester's death.

While speaking with Deadline, Hoffman teases how the mafia-related mystery will feel different from anything the show has done before. There’s another murder brewing for “Only Murders in the Building,” which will return September 9 with Season 5 on Hulu. The mystery will surround (spoiler for those not through Season 4) the Arconia’s beloved doorman, Lester, who was found dead in the courtyard fountain in the waning moments of last October’s season finale.

After it was revealed that CBS canceled the comedian’s long-running late night talk show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, The Hollywood Reporter learned on Sunday that Colbert has landed another hosting gig on a separate CBS show.

Colbert is set to make a guest appearance on an upcoming season three episode of the crime comedy Elsbeth, which returns Oct. 12. Vulture reported that Colbert will play the host of a fictional late night talk show called Way Late With Scotty Bristol.

Elsbeth, starring Carrie Preston, Wendell Pierce and Carra Patterson, is a murder-of-the-week show. It follows astute but unconventional attorney Elsbeth Tascioni (Preston), who utilizes her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD.

Colbert’s episode was filmed this week; however, his guest appearance has been months in the making.

The seven-time Primetime Emmy-winning series, created by John Hoffman and Steve Martin, announced last month that the latest season had finished filming. “Only Murders in the Building” has set its Season 5 premiere date at Hulu.

The hit comedy series will debut the first three episodes of its fifth season on Sept. 9, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter. The official description of Season 5 states:

In celebration of filming's wrap, a video was released featuring new season 5 cast members Renée Zellweger, Téa Leoni, and Logan Lerman stepping into the iconic Arconia elevator set to make the special announcement, only to be met by the original trio.

The world of the Transformers is a globally recognized franchise, so when Paramount decided to make the animated prequel movie, Transformers One, it stood to reason that the movie would perform well at the box office. Despite scores of 89% from critics and 97% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie ultimately didn't live up to the billing. As a result, Paramount won’t be rolling out a Transformers One sequel even though the film’s director, Josh Cooley, confirms that he has plans for future installments of the animated prequel movie.

Cooley's work saw Energon miners Orion Pax (voiced by Chris Hemsworth) and D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry) transformed into Optimus Prime and Megatron, the rival leaders of the warring Autobots and Decepticons. Theirs is a rivalry that ensues after teaming up to save Cybertron from the traitorous Sentinel Prime (Jon Hamm) and the Quintessons. Sadly, Cooley will not get to pursue his vision any further.
