Biography

    • Cooper is a professional paid actor, both on stage and screen.

His professional acting career started in 2019, at the age of 12 when he was cast as a swing, covering 4 of the 6 male children's roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock the Musical, which toured South Korea. In 2019 and 2020, he performed the role of Freddy (the drummer) in the Sydney season of the show. After performing over 100 live stage shows and having further planned tours cancelled due to COVID, Cooper decided that he'd like to try screen acting.

Cooper's transition from Musical Theatre to screen work in 2020 was an exciting and welcome challenge and he was thrilled to be cast in back-to-back lead roles on 2 award winning short films. For 'Good Times, Bad Moon', Cooper won a Platinum Award in the 2021 Independent Shorts Awards for Best Child/Young Actor and for 'Two's a Lesson', he won Stockholm City Film Festival September Award for Best Actor.

In 2021, Cooper had fun as a presenter on 15 episodes of How to do Stuff Good S3 on ABC ME and was a Top 20 Finalist for the Carmen Duncan Teen Scholarship, run by American Arts Film and Television Academy in LA. Eager to learn more and become a better actor, he also participated in a 6 week Young Actors Masterclass course, with AAFTA.

In 2024, Cooper was cast as Ryan (supporting role) in the feature film, Hindi Vindi, alongside Guy Sebastian and Neena Gupta.

Cooper is friendly, confident (but not cocky), a hard worker, happy to give anything a go and follows direction well.
