Mark E. Brown
Spending most of his days on production sets as an award-winning assistant director, Mark Brown's unwavering work ethic has paved the way through the ranks in the DGA. That work ethic has also led to him to garner a high level of respect in the high budget and big production areas of the movie world, not to mention the opportunity to work with some of the industry's most renowned professionals. Some of his recent credits are Academy award nominees and winners including Baby Driver, Black Panther, Game Night, and First Man, to name a few. Mark has taken the valuable lessons learned from Academy Award winning directors, producers and other highly respected assistant directors (as well as his own valuable work experience) and created SideLine Entertainment, Inc., a film & television production consulting firm, while also maintaining his work in the field as an AD. In the beginning, SideLine Entertainment has helped new & moderate filmmakers learn how to budget, manage & spend their production funds in the most efficient ways possible. In addition to experience in film & television in places such as Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta (to name a few), Mark has a degree in the sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also found time to study Business Management & Media Relations, which moved him to begin his freelance production career in Nashville, TN. He broke into the music industry at the ground level and worked his way up to managing, producing, and even directing some music videos and putting on spectacular live music televised events and shows. After a five-year stint in Nashville, he decided to move to Los Angeles in order to tackle the scripted world of feature films and television. Mark's passion is story telling using his extensive knowledge of operational production methodology to lead projects to their utmost creative efficiency, without losing vision or imagination.
