Peggy Mckenna wrote a fan letter to her favorite actress Carole Landis in 1937. Four years later Carole invited her to come to Hollywood on a vacation. She decided to stay in California and worked as a stand-in for Carole and Margaret Roach. In 1943 she married actor Elisha Cook Jr. The couple divorced in 1968 but remarried three years later. Peggy died in 1990 at the age of sixty-eight.
