Biography

Kelly Kowalski was born in Lakeland, Florida, and has lived there her entire life. She has one younger brother, Jake Kowalski.

Ms. Kowalski has always had an extroverted, engaging personality. So it wasn't too early for her to begin to enjoy acting and being on stage in school and the community.

The first step was an appearance at her local community theatre at seven years old. However, most of her acting career started upon auditioning for and being accepted into the magnet school, The Lois Cowles Harrison Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, a high school in Lakeland, Florida. Harrison Center has previously graduated professionals onto Broadway, television, and film. She chose this exclusive route to ensure her course of study would launch from a proven and professional platform while also requiring equally rigorous academics.

Ms. Kowalski garnered experience in various acting techniques, including the Misner Technique and the Viola Spolin Method. Her acting experience includes Shakespeare, stage combat, Greek tragedies, and classical and modern script genres. Before graduation, she added puppeteering, singing, directing, and writing to her maturing repertoire.

Once accepted into the University of South Florida, Ms. Kowalski had the privilege of working with industry professionals from around the country, including Dallas, LA, New York City, Chicago, and Miami. She continued practicing her improv skills when she moved into college, studying with professionals from ImprovBoston, Second City, and iO.

After graduation, Ms. Kowalski has studied film acting under Jeremy London, from Mall Rats and Party of Five; Lee Perkins from Foxcatcher; and Jordan Woods-Robinson from The Walking Dead and The Right Stuff.

Proficient in American Sign Language, Ms. Kowalski loves all things Disney. Having hosted trivia contests at local restaurants, she enjoys a local following. Two of her favorite people are her maternal grandparents, who have been in her life since she was born. She has significant extended family and enjoys spending her free time with them as often as possible. Ms. Kowalski knows that without family, you have nothing.

Ms. Kowalski is a breast cancer survivor having battled stage two Invasive Ductal Carcinoma at the age of 28. She is now stands as an advocate for both men and women to "get checked" and to never miss a preventive mammogram screening.

She works daily on her craft while pursuing opportunities in and around central Florida. Her plans include relocating to the metropolitan area of Atlanta, GA, when the time presents its self.

Ms. Kowalski would like to thank her parents, Wendy and Scott Kowalski, as well as her extended family on both the Kowalski side and on her mothers side for their continuous support as she continues to chase her dream.
