Johnny Bananas Never Wants to Retire From ‘The Challenge’: ‘It’s Like an Emotionally Abusive Relationship’
Image
It’s very tough to pick out the most accomplished member of MTV’s vast Real World/Road Rules/Challenge universe, considering Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, podcast giant Theo Von, and WWE icon Mike “The Miz” Mizanin all got their start there. But speaking purely about the world of reality television, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio undoubtedly takes the crown, even if giants like Christopher “Ct” Tamburello, Wes Bergmann, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Trishelle Cannatella all have very impressive resumes.

Devenanzio is not only the all-time Challenge champion with seven titles to his name,...

‘The Traitors’ Season 4 casts a different Rob from ‘Survivor,’ a K-pop star, and Taylor Swift’s potential future mother-in-law
Image
Reality TV’s most ruthless stars are gearing up for a fierce showdown in the Scottish Highlands.

The 23 cast members for The Traitors Season 4 were announced on Friday by Peacock, and they include contestants from The Amazing Race, The Bachelor, Big Brother, Dancing With the Stars, Laguna Beach, Love Island, The Real Housewives, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Surreal Life, and Survivor. Last year, Survivor alum Rob Mariano stole the show as a Traitor, and now a different Rob — Rob Cesternino, also from Survivor — will be trying to make a similar impact on viewers.

Rounding out the cast are notable names with no strong ties to reality TV: K-pop singer-songwriter Eric Nam, actor Michael Rapaport, comedian Ron Funches, and Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL bros Travis & Jason Kelce. With Travis and Taylor Swift’s high-profile relationship still going strong, might Tay Tay be tuning in each week to watch her...

American Gladiators Reboot Has a Superstar Host With Mike “The Miz” Mizanin
Image
The American Gladiators reboot has added the perfect host to help present all the hard-hitting and intense action the classic competition show brings.

WWE superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, who was first a personality on reality television, is taking on hosting duties.

Many viewers watched Mike rise to fame on MTV’s The Real World and The Challenge, before moving into the world of sports entertainment.

(USA Network/Screenshot)

Additionally, he’s appeared as a contestant on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars and in his USA Network reality television show, Miz & Mrs., alongside his wife Maryse Ouellet.

His charismatic on-screen presence and TV resume, which includes hosting work, make him an excellent fit for the American Gladiators reboot.

The Challenge: All Stars Is Losing Its Edge — Here’s How to Fix It
Image
The Challenge: All Stars started with a fantastic idea, but the Og concept seriously fell off with the recent All Stars Rivals.

While the throwback concept brought intriguing pairings and a few returning OGs that made it watchable, it lost the luster that arrived with the first several seasons.

And when that fifth season arrived, The Challenge: All Stars aired on a different network, and producers changed what initially worked, seemingly frustrating many fans.

(MTV/Screenshot)

We received some OGs and then cast members from recent seasons of The Challenge, arriving from CBS or other networks’ reality TV shows.

However, I believe All Stars can keep going and it’s apparent that the man who brought this concept to life, The Godfather Mark Long, is doing his darndest to keep things moving in the right direction.

The Challenge’s Shane Landrum addresses Da’Vonne Rogers retiring after All Stars Rivals
Shane Landrum
During The Challenge: All Stars Rivals, Shane Landrum returned to the show after a hiatus and competed alongside his rival, Da’Vonne Rogers.

Da’Vonne, who initially debuted on CBS’s Big Brother, became part of The Challenge when she appeared in Final Reckoning and War of the Worlds.

She stopped appearing on the show as she focused on her life away from reality television, but MTV ultimately brought her on as one of their Official Challenge Podcast hosts.

After years of fans asking her to return to MTV, All Stars Rivals opened the door for her to accomplish one thing she’d yet to do: reach The Challenge final.

While Da’Vonne and Shane finished as the runner-up team, she seemingly announced her retirement from the competition show.

However, Shane recently shared why he doesn’t believe she will stay retired.

The Challenge’s Frank Sweeney Fox shares why he believes he ‘won All Stars 5’
Road Rules (1995)
After years away from the competition show, The Challenge: All Stars Rivals brought back former Real World roommates Frank Sweeney Fox and Sam McGinn.

While many fans likely didn’t consider them favorites to win the season, Frank’s social gameplay in the house assisted him and Sam in reaching the final and having a shot to win.

However, the final brought difficult circumstances as Sam suffered an injury, making it difficult for her to give the effort Frank might have hoped for.

Ultimately, they finished in third place, taking less prize money than the show’s winners.

Former Road Rules and All Stars 4 castmates Adam Larson and Steve Meinke earned the most money as they finished first.

Frank recently shared why he believes he won All Stars 5 even if he didn’t win the first-place prize money.

The Challenge’s Mark Long addresses All Stars spin-off’s potential cancellation after insider’s update
Image
Ahead of MTV airing the finale for The Challenge: All Stars Rivals, Mark Long addressed the possible fate of the spin-off series.

Long, who initially debuted on MTV’s Road Rules franchise, became strongly associated with the cause to bring All Stars to life, and his vision ultimately worked.

The initial seasons featured the return of many of the MTV OGs that fans were interested in seeing again, including Trishelle Cannatella, Teck “Money” Holmes, Syrus Yarbrough, Ruthie Alcaide, Beth Stolarczyk, and Katie Cooley.

Additional seasons brought more returning characters, including Tina Barta, Cohutta Grindstaff, Casey Cooper, and Tyler Duckworth.

However, four years and five seasons later, the spin-off’s future seems unclear, as many fans have had less-than-stellar reactions to the latest installment.

Some have criticized the spin-off’s move from Paramount+ to MTV for the first time in five seasons. Others have blamed the cast and lack of entertainment.

The Traitors 4 cast: A dream cast was revealed with Survivor and Big Brother alums
Ivar Mountbatten
The Traitors 4 cast won’t be revealed for a while, but it’s never too early to start thinking about it.

A third season of the hit reality competition show recently ended, with Lord Ivar Mountbatten, Gabby Windey, Dylan Efron, and Dolores Catania splitting the prize pool this past season.

Trishelle Cannatella and Chris “Ct” Tamburello from The Challenge stole the money from everyone on The Traitors 2.

Even before Season 3 ended in March, rumors began about who would be on the show next time.

As previously reported by Monsters and Critics, Amanda Kimmel from Survivor, Kenya Moore from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Nick Viall from The Bachelor were linked to The Traitors 4.

Who would viewers love to see on the show? A new list provides some more ideas.

The Traitors 4 rumors: Who will be on new cast?
Image
It’s never too early for The Traitors 4 rumors.

A new season will soon film in Scotland, with more reality TV royalty competing at the castle.

It may seem early to discuss the next season since The Traitors 3 recently ended, but the episodes are filmed way before air dates.

Lord Ivar Mountbatten, Gabby Windey, Dylan Efron, and Dolores Catania split the prize pool this past season.

The quartet made it to the end by removing the final Traitor (Britney Haynes) despite her arguments that she was one of them.

This was a much different ending than when Trishelle Cannatella and Chris “Ct” Tamburello from The Challenge stole the money from everyone on The Traitors 2.

‘The Traitors’ Season 3 Prize Money: How Much Did Each of the Winners Make From the Show?
Image
The Peacock reality TV series The Traitors ended its third season with an intense finale. Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey, and Ivar Mountbatten won this season as the Faithfuls and split the prize money four ways. The show, hosted by Alan Cummings, has slowly become one of the most fun reality TV shows in recent times.

Similar to the games Clue and Mafia, The Traitors have participants split into two groups called the Faithfuls and the Traitors. As the weeks progress, the crowd thins with the elimination rounds until there is a winner. However, the prize money for the winners is not fixed and changes every season.

What is the format of the game in The Traitors? A promotional image from The Traitors | Credits: Peacock

With a treatment similar to international murder mysteries, The Traitors pits a group of participants against each other by turning them into Traitors and Faithfuls.

‘The Traitors’ Winners Discuss the Shocking Season 3 Finale

An unprecedented season of The Traitors, hosted by Alan Cumming, came to an end on Thursday night, revealing the winners of the reality competition show did not include any “gamers.” Instead of contestants from Big Brother, Survivor, or The Challenge making it to the end, four so-called Faithfuls — Dolores Catania from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Gabby Windey from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, British aristocrat and distant cousin of King Charles III Lord Ivar Mountbatten, and Dylan Efron, influencer, producer, and brother of actor Zac Efron — walked away splitting the cash prize,...

‘The Traitors’ winners list: How much money did each Traitor or Faithful take home?
Image
Peacock's U.S. version of the popular reality show The Traitors has now crowned three seasons' worth of champions. But were they villainous Traitors (those responsible for murdering their fellow players) or heroic Faithfuls (those who tried to uncover the truth)? Refresh your memory on all of The Traitors winners so far by scrolling through our list below.

Unlike competition programs Survivor and The Amazing Race, where the grand prize is a whopping $1 million, The Traitors only offers up to $250,000 for its winner(s). And that "up to" part is important, because it's the contestants themselves who must earn their money at various missions throughout the season. If they acquire the maximum amount offered at each challenge, the prize pot will total $250K. However, that doesn't always happen, so the individual winnings could be much lower.

If any Traitors are left standing at the end of the game, they will...

Derrick Levasseur
The Traitors 3 is winding down on Peacock.

Two more players were eliminated during Episode 7, as Derrick Levasseur was Murdered and Rob Mariano was Banished.

Big Brother winner Derrick and Survivor winner Boston Rob were considered gamers who might win the Scottish reality competition show.

Unfortunately, the end of The Traitors 3 is already on the horizon, with less than a month left in the latest season.

The Challenge’s Wes Bergmann blasts fans for ‘crossing the line’ with comments about castmates
Image
Wes Bergmann says he is “begging” The Challenge fans to stop making hurtful remarks about his newer castmates.

The two-time MTV champion and All Stars 3 winner announced his retirement from the show during The Challenge: USA 2 spin-off season.

While that meant he wasn’t part of the epic 40-person cast for MTV’s Season 40, Battle of the Eras, he has since appeared on other reality shows.

He recently shared a message expressing his love and adoration of The Challenge fandom, who constantly root for him to return to the competition series.

However, he said some online comments have become too much as they are “crossing the line” towards “hurting” individuals from other reality shows.

“I want the world to think of The Challenge fandom as three main things: competitive, funny, and good sports. When you trash those from other shows out of a sense of loyalty to me, you’re not doing right by anyone,...

The Traitors Producers Explained What Made Dan Gheesling The Worst Traitor Ever
Image
Since The Traitors has millions of fans, there were loads of people who were excited when the third season's cast was announced. After all, even though The Traitors has earned Alan Cumming new fans who are interested in how hard hosting the show is, the players can make or break a season. That is what makes it such a big deal that the reality show has featured many memorable players, including former Survivor players, some of whom flopped in Alan's castle.

Fortunately for Big Brother fans, The Traitors has also cast several players from that show, including Dan Gheesling. However, Dan arguably became the worst Traitor in the show's history despite being regarded by some as the best Big Brother player ever. For any of Dan's fans who want to know what went so horribly wrong, The Traitors' producer offered an interesting explanation.

How To Watch The Traitors US Season 3 & When It Premieres
Image
The Traitors US season 3 is on the horizon, and it's time to talk about where and when to watch the popular series. This season promises to dazzle thanks to a thrilling cast, including some Survivor legends, including Tony Vlachos and (if someone else gets the boot) "Boston Rob" Mariano. To add some glamour, there are Real Housewives in this mix, such as Dorinda Medley and Robyn Dixon. Overseeing The Traitors season 3 action is the witty and well-dressed Brit, Alan Cumming, who brings dashing charm and gusto to his duties.

The premise remains the same, with "good" and "bad" teams vying for supremacy. The "Faithful" must detect the "Traitors." Everyone's trying to stay alive in the game. Last time around, during The Traitors US season 2, The Challenge alums Trishelle Cannatella and Ct Tamburello were the victors who shared the grand prize. This time, there are some of the smoothest operators around.

Jemmye Carroll called out comments from her former castmate, who suggested he flirted with her to stay relevant even though he might not be genuinely interested.

The former Real World star hasn’t appeared on The Challenge since the All Stars 3 spinoff, and she’s wondering why she keeps getting mentioned on a particular podcast.

A recent episode of Zach Nichols Podcast featured Nehemiah Clark, fresh off his appearance on MTV’s Battle of the Eras.

During the episode, Nehemiah said he focused on each of his appearances on the competition show as if it were his last.

Therefore, he would do whatever was necessary to stay relevant as part of the show’s cast.

That seemingly included talking to people he usually wouldn’t and flirting with Jemmye while on the show.

Nehemiah mentioned his flirting with Jemmye during All Stars was for the camera

Alan Cumming Shares What Part of Hosting ‘The Traitors’ Still Gives Him ‘Little Tremors’
Image
Six-time Emmy nominee Alan Cumming was not the biggest fan of reality television prior to being approached to host the U.S. edition of “The Traitors.” Despite eventually taking the job that required keeping a watchful eye over alumni from such shows as “Survivor,” “Big Brother,” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and “The Challenge,” and excelling to the point of a current Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program nomination for his work on Season 2, the Scottish star jokes, “I’m still not.”

Sitting down for an interview with IndieWire in our Los Angeles studio, Cumming recalls the rest of his “The Traitors” origin story, saying he took the meeting with producers “just to kinda see what was going on. And they said that they wanted me to play this sort of character, this sort of heightened, quite theatrical host. So I really got into the hang of...

‘The Traitors’ Cinematographers Siggi Rosen-Rawlings & Matt Wright On Keeping Players In An “Immersive Bubble”
Image
For a competition series like The Traitors, it’s important for cinematographers Siggi Rosen-Rawlings and Matt Wright to keep the players as immersed in the game as possible. While the players compete in a series of challenges and conspire with each other to root out the traitors, the pair is hard at work making sure they remain as out of the way as possible… while also keeping track of where the drama is happening.

This season of The Traitors has some of reality TV’s biggest stars coming together to play the psychological competition game of treachery and deceit, along with host Alan Cumming. The series was nominated for four Emmys, including Outstanding Cinematography for “The Funeral”, which both Wright and Rosen-Rawlings say was one of the most theatrical episodes that showed off the skills of every department.

Image
As the longest-running reality competition show on television, MTV’s The Challenge faces some pretty tough decisions every time it assembles a cast for a new season. Fans from the earliest day of the show in the late Nineties and early 2000s yearn to see OGs like Mark Long, Darrell Taylor, Aneesa Ferreira, and Tina Barton compete, even though they are now in their 40s and 50s. Younger fans are more familiar with fresh faces like Horacio Gutiérrez Jr., Michele Fitzgerald, and Nurys Mateo. And it simply wouldn’t be...

Alan Cumming Insists, “I Act My Socks Off in ‘The Traitors’”’
Image
For Alan Cumming, hosting The Traitors is already the reward; his Emmy nomination for reality or reality/competition host is just a bonus — one almost as coveted as immunity from elimination.

“I really love doing it,” says Cumming of the hit Peacock series (which also scored a nom for best reality competition program) that has become the streamer’s most watched unscripted title. “I love the fact it’s connected with everyone in this way. Everyone’s really obsessed by it.”

The Traitors, an Americanized version of the Dutch series De Verraders (which takes inspiration from party games like Mafia), sees a cast of characters holed up in a grand Scottish castle, tasked with uncovering which of the guests are in fact traitors plotting to murder their fellow contestants (dubbed “faithfuls”) in order to win a six-figure cash prize. In each episode — after a grueling physical challenge to add money...

Here's What Happened To The Cast Of Season 2's The Surreal Life
Image
Trishelle Cannatella gained fame from The Surreal Life before disappearing and returned to reality TV in recent years. Erik Estrada starred in The Surreal Life Season 2, later became a reserve police officer and starred in a home renovation show. Vanilla Ice shocked fans by leaving music for a regular job; he continued to star in reality shows and act in movies.

While fans are curious about The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, many fans are looking back on the show's history. Thankfully, The Surreal Life has a fascinating history between the shocking romances, Chet Hanks finding himself, and Kim Zolciak going on the show to get over her divorce.

While all that is amazing, one of the fascinating things about The Surreal Life is how long the show's history is. After all, the second season of The Surreal Life aired so long ago that many fascinating things have happened to its cast since then.

Sandy Yawn
Chef Johnathan “Jono” Shillingford has weighed in on Below Deck Med Season 9, including some issues he endured with Captain Sandy Yawn and Elena “Ellie” Dubaich.

There’s no question that the chef has had some trouble finding his footing on the Mustique yacht.

Captain Sandy has had to lecture Jono more than once, especially after Gigi Fernandez’s charter.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Jono spoke out on that topic, declaring it the “worst charter of his career.”

After Jono made another mistake during Trishelle Cannatella’s charter, Captain Sandy had a backup chef ready.

However, all that was nothing compared to the drama he endured when Ellie woke him up to help make late-night snacks, and the captain scolded her.

Now, the chef has commented on what happened on the show with Captain Sandy and Ellie.

'Traitors' Star Is "Not Ashamed" of Her Playboy Images

Trishelle Cannatella became known as something of a villain on Season 2 of The Traitors. Determined to win, she left the game a co-winner with her The Challenge friend Chris "C.T." Tamburello. The two went back and forth on their friendship until they screwed another Faithful out of winning to take the money for themselves. It was vicious and a mean move, but the gamers ended up taking home the win. Now, Cannatella is trying her hand at another reality show: Bravo's Below Deck Mediterranean.

Below Deck Mediterranean: What To Know About Charter Guest Trishelle Cannatella

Trishelle Cannatella, a reality TV veteran, joins Below Deck Mediterranean as a charter guest. Despite crew challenges, they provide a memorable experience for guests. Trishelle is known for her appearances on MTV reality shows, The Real World: Las Vegas and The Challenge, and has a connection with primary guest Brittany Brower.

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9s most recent charter guest, Trishelle Cannatella, has some major reality TV experience outside of the world of luxury superyachting.
