TriForce launches pitching project by Amber Wilkinson - 2018-10-07 11:48:16
What Happened To Evie? Photo: Carol Younghusband TriForce Short Film Festival has teamed up with philanthropist Professor Stefan Allesch-Taylor to give UK-based filmmakers the opportunity to win funding for their next project.

Filmmakers must submit their pitch, alongside the amount of money they are applying for. Finalists will then pitch live to Allesch-Taylor’s team at the TriForce Short Film Festival on December 1 at BAFTA. Successful filmmakers will have one year to finish their film.

The financier and entrepreneur set up a £1 million short film fund in 2017 and has already funded more than 25 films from this initiative. Projects that have received backing include Victoria Hollup and Paul Agar's Gerry - which won the La Shorts Fest’s best actress award for star Joan Collins - and What Happened To Evie?, directed by Kate Cheeseman, which has won a clutch of awards, including at Galway Film Fleadh and Cannes Short Film Corner.
