Guns N Roses Postpone Concert In St. Louis Due To Unspecified Illness
Image
An unspecific illness has caused legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses to postpone their September 9 show at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

A representative for the band confirmed the sad news and alleged the band was working to reschedule the concert, according to Fox 2 Ktvi.

The show was expected to fill 46,000 seats.

The rep confirmed that fans should “hold onto” their tickets, ensuring that concertgoers can earn a refund for their tickets. The representative did not expand on the severity of the illness.

The band, which consists of Axl Rose (lead vocals), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), St. Louis native Richard Fortus (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Melissa Reese (keyboards), kicked off their 2023 World Tour in June in Tel Aviv.

Duff McKagan on New Guns N’ Roses Album: ‘Oh, It’s Real’
Duff McKagan
Duff McKagan is the latest Guns N’ Roses member to promise that, following their reunion tour, a new album from the band is in the works.

In an interview with Trunk Nation Friday, the bassist revealed that he has heard some of Axl Rose-penned music earmarked for Guns N’ Roses’ first LP since 2008’s Chinese Democracy, and the first Gn’R album with McKagan and Slash since 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident?

“Oh, it’s real, but the fun part and the cool part about Guns N’ Roses is we...

Hear Axl Rose’s First New Song in 10 Years, ‘Rock the Rock’
Axl Rose and W. Axl Rose the Cat
Following weeks of speculation, Axl Rose has officially released “Rock the Rock,” his first new song in over a decade. The song, and Rose himself in cartoon form, appear in an episode of New Looney Tunes.

The episode, titled “Armageddon Outta Here, Part Two,” previously broadcasted in late-December, but Boomerang, the network that airs the animated series, confirmed the Guns N’ Roses singer’s involvement Friday.

“Rock the Rock” – which sounds more like Rose’s side project AC/DC than Guns N’ Roses – finds the singer and the Looney Tunes...

5 Guitarists That Could Replace DJ Ashba In Guns N’ Roses
Wikimedia Commons

Inevitably, Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba must now be referred to as former Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba. He joins a long list of axe-slingers to gain the “former” prefix, with everyone from Paul Tobias, to Slash, to Izzy Stradlin, to Buckethead, to Robin Finck, to Gilby Clarke joining and exiting the band over the years. There’s been a huge number of guest guitarists too, including Brian May and Dave Navarro, meaning that guitarists are to Gn’R what drummers were to Spinal Tap – disposable entities that change with the seasons.

Ashba had a decent innings. He was with the band for about 6 years, touring several times, although – in typical Gn’R fashion – he has yet to appear on an official studio release. Mainly because there hasn’t been one since 2008’s long-awaited Chinese Democracy. There’s no doubt that Ashba’s decision to leave...

Guns N' Roses feature film being developed, says biography author
Slash
A feature film based on the story of Guns N' Roses is reportedly being developed.

The co-author of 2008 book Reckless Road, Marc Canter, shared the news on Guns N' Roses website MyGNRForum.

"I'm not making the movie," he said. "The Book Reckless Road is being made into a movie by people that will do it right. No short cuts, it will be very detailed.

"I do have a big say-so on the script which is still being put together now but so far looking cool. I am going to see that everyone in the cast is doing their job and doing justice to the band. Since I was there, I know what the dialogue was between the band for many of the events that took place."

Canter then reassured fans that it won't "be a cheesy movie" and that "it will be very cool".

He continued: "When you find out who is making the movie,...

Nothing Lasts Forever (1984)
Axl Rose Brings 'Real Deal' Guns N' Roses to the Wiltern: Concert Review
Nothing Lasts Forever (1984)
Nothing lasts forever in the cold November rain, but on a chilly March night at Los Angeles' Wiltern Theater (capacity: 2,200), 50-year-old Axl Rose proved that Guns N’ Roses might last until he’s 100. During a 30-song set, the frontman sang the bejesus out of all the hits, accompanied by the audience (especially on “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”) and his band du jour: longtime Gnr keyboardist Dizzy Reed, relatively newish guitarists DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Chris Pitman. All of them were on a musical par with

Axl Rose and W. Axl Rose the Cat
Guns N’ Roses will play its first full U.S. tour in five years starting Oct. 28 in Orlando. A few dates had been announced here and there, but today we got confirmation of the cities (and some venues) on the arena tour. The line-up is Axl Rose, guitarist DJ Ashba, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, bassist Tommy Stinson, guitarist Richard Fortus, guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, keyboardist Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer. The press announcement screams that the band will play “all its hits,” which is a good thing since we’ve had no new music since 2008 “Chinese Democracy,” which yielded zero hits,...

Having spent the past two years touring everywhere but the United States (except for that one time they played at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota), Guns N' Roses will finally bring their show to our shores, with a run of arena gigs set to kick off in late October.

The tour — which launches October 28 at the Amway Center in Orlando and features more than 30 dates — is Gn'r's first run of U.S. shows in more than five years. That also means it's the first time they've hit the road here since the 2008 release of their Chinese Democracy album.

In addition to that Orlando show, the list of confirmed U.S. shows, according to the band's publicist, are: October 29 at the American Airlines Arena...
