Viktor Slavkin is Soviet and Russian playwright, screenwriter. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers (1958). In 1958-1963 he worked as an engineer in construction sites and in design organizations, made his debut as an author of humorous stories. From the beginning of the 60s he wrote one-act plays, which were staged in the pop theater-studio of Moscow State University. In the years 1967-1984 he worked in the journal "Youth". As a playwright debuted in 1979. Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (1980). The playwright was brought to fame by the plays Serso (1982) and The Daughter of a Young Man (1979). The author of the playbook "Monument to the unknown dude" (1996). Slavkin wrote scripts for animation since 1965. Worked with animation directors Vladimir Tarasov, Stanislav Sokolov, Yuriy Butyrin, Aida Zyablikova and others. Author and presenter of the TV program "Old Apartment".
