- Carla Boni was born on July 17, 1925 in Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. She was an actress, known for Bridget Jones's Baby (2016), ...e Napoli canta! (1953) and San Remo canta (1956). She was married to Gino Latilla. She died on October 17, 2009 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.

- In the 1960s, she sang on Italian radio the song "Rossetto" which was written by Henri Betti (music) and Enzo Bonagura (lyrics).
- In 1956, she released a new version of the standard "Mambo Italiano", which went on to become her greatest hit. During the 1990s she introduced a new version of "Mambo Italiano".
- On 5 October 2008, Carla Boni participated in an event commemorating Pino Rucher (a RAI guitarist) twelve years after his death, which was sponsored by the Municipal Authorities of Manfredonia and by the Authorities of the Province of Foggia.
