Felicia Day‘s Charlie Bradbury appeared in only 11 episodes of Supernatural over a number of a years: seven in the show’s world as a quirky lesbian hacker genius and four as her Apocalypse World alter ego, an accomplished demon hunter, who also liked girls. Nonetheless, the sci fi/fantasy/web content creator stalwart was popular enough that many fans asked that Day become a cast regular. It helped that Charlie was almost considered a Winchester family member, and a particular favorite of Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) — in both universes. Day was interviewed in May at a Creation Entertainment convention in New Jersey for TV Guide Magazine’s Supernatural Afterlife: 20th Anniversary Special celebrating the iconic sci-fi show, where she shared her thoughts about both her love of Spn conventions around the world and her role on the iconic show. What draws you back to the many Supernatural conventions? Felicia...

Grog Strongjaw, a hulking barbarian warrior who once helped save the realm by splitting a terrible dragon’s skull in twain with a mighty cleave of his axe, did not expect to find himself dancing, doing the worm for the amusement of a fiendish emcee. As he writhed his body on the stage in front of a sold-out arena crowd, it’s fair to say that Travis Willingham didn’t expect this either. He and the rest of the cast of Critical Role were the ones who were actually dancing,...

This Buffy the Vampire Slayer Star Might Not Return for the Sequel Series Due to Major Career Change
Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered almost three decades ago, and its impact on television is undeniable. The series was a huge staple for other fantasy shows, and it was also hailed for its feminist impact.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer also launched the careers of many of its stars, who are now forever tied to the roles in the fantasy hit series. After many years of conversations, Buffy will receive a sequel series, with Sarah Michelle Gellar reprising her role as the titular character. So far, it's unclear who else will make an appearance, but it's likely Eliza Dushku won't be among the returning cast, as she celebrated a major career change on Instagram over the weekend.

Felicia Day in Tim Travers And The Time Traveler's Paradox
In director Stimson Snead's science fiction comedy, Tim Travers And The Time Traveler's Paradox (2024), the titular character played by Samuel Dunning decides to alter reality by travelling back in time to kill his younger self. There are obvious echoes of other films that have employed a similar idea about changing the future, including James Cameron's classic science fiction action double-bill The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2 (1991), and Jonathan Frakes' Star Trek: First Contact (1996).
Unfortunately, for Tim Travers, reality remains intact. Instead, he's confronted by multiple versions of himself. Felicia Day plays Tim's love interest Delilah, who works for a conspiracy theory media empire run by James Bunratty, played by Joel McHale.
Day created the web series The Guild (2007-2013), about a community of gamers, which ran for 70 episodes across six seasons. She also starred in the musical comedy-drama web series,...

The “time traveler’s paradox” – that brain-bending question of what happens if you alter the past in a way that prevents your future self from existing – has always struck me as one of science fiction’s most irresistible thought experiments. It’s the kind of idea that can fuel late-night dorm room debates or, in rarer cases, a genuinely inventive film.
“Tim Travers & the Time Travelers Paradox” dives headfirst into this temporal quandary. Our guide is the titular Tim Travers, a reclusive physicist whose intense dedication to his work seems to have built the very walls of his isolated laboratory. He isn’t content to merely theorize; Tim decides to put the paradox to the ultimate test by traveling back a mere minute to confront, and potentially eliminate, his younger self.

Even nepo-babies have to audition, folks. And it seems as though they are, in droves, for the upcoming Buffy The Vampire Slayer sequel series. According to Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan — a.k.a. Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg, respectively — there have been more than one original cast member from the iconic teen series whose now-teen kids have auditioned for the latest iteration. Now: who wants to play a little game of "speculate and find out," eh?
The news came about during an interview between the two actresses and Us Weekly. During their sit-down with the publication, Hannigan let out a teasing bit of information, saying, "I know somebody who auditioned for something on the show." To which Gellar replied, "I know somebody who was on the show whose child auditioned for the show. I know a few people from the show whose children came in." This, of course,...

"Power core stable?" "No, we're gonna die!" An official trailer has debuted for an indie sci-fi adventure film titled Tim Travers & the Time Traveler's Paradox, from filmmaker Stimson Snead making his feature directorial debut after many other shorts. This premiered at the 2024 Cinequest Film Festival last year, and is now set for release in limited theaters on May 30th this summer. What kind of trouble will Tim get into while time traveling? The film explores the age-old question: What happens if you travel back in time and eliminate your younger self? Terminally bored mad genius Tim Travers seeks to find the answer and unravel the time traveler's paradox. The Result? A crazy comedic adventure beyond comprehension. Starring actor Samuel Dunning as Tim Travers, with Danny Trejo, Joel McHale, Keith David (as God?!), Felicia Day, and many others. Watch the Trailer for M3GAN 2.0: "The murderous doll who captivated pop culture in 2023 is back. And this time she’s not alone.
The original creative team behind that phenomenon—led by horror titans James Wan for Atomic Monster, Jason Blum for Blumhouse and director Gerard Johnstone—reboot an all-new wild chapter in A.I. mayhem with M3GAN 2.0.
Two years after M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules.
Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia, the ultimate killer infiltration spy.

Time Travel is Dangerous centers around friends Ruth and Megan who run a vintage shop in Muswell Hill. When they stumble across a time machine, it occurs to them that stock is much cheaper if they ‘borrow’ from the past – well, it’s free. They don’t want to change history, or rob banks, they just want to find a nice Victorian lamp or an authentic 80s bum bag without getting sucked into the hellish time-space vortex that is “the Unreason”. The thing is, Time Travel Is Dangerous.

Supernatural fans became accustomed to the dynamic between the Winchester brothers, with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki playing the roles for fifteen seasons. As a result, fans came to expect hilarious one-liners from Ackles’ Dean Winchester, making his level of sass and sarcasm practically unrivaled except for one recurring character that proved to be a match for him.

A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his work adapting the short fiction of fellow genre writer Harold Waldrop into a series of short films. With these shorts, Martin is trying to honor his lifelong friend, who passed away from a stroke earlier this year at the age of 77. It's very sweet, and we'll circle back to it, but we also know why most people would click on a headline about George R.R. Martin: has the author made any progress on The Winds of Winter, the long-awaited sixth book in his series of epic fantasy novels adapted by HBO as Game of Thrones?
“Unfortunately, I am 13 years late,” Martin quipped. “Every time I say that, I’m [like], ‘How could I be 13 years late?’ I don’t know, it happens a day at a time.”
But that’s still a priority.

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin explains why he doesn't like adaptation changes after venting his feelings about House of the Dragon. Martin is currently producing a short film based on his childhood friend Howard Waldrop's short stories, The Ugly Chickens. Due to difficulties finding funding for a half-hour film, Martin self-funded the project, with Michael Cassutt writing the screenplay and Mark Raso helming the production.
Martin explained to The Hollywood Reporter why he only made one change to The Ugly Chickens. The producer admitted that he's a strong believer in "a faithful adaptation," and he's often annoyed by any changes made to his work for one primary reason. Check out what he said:
Maybe I’m one of the few people in Hollywood who still thinks that when you adapt a work of art, a novel, a short story, you should do a faithful adaptation. [It] annoys me...

You might know George R.R. Martin as the mind behind the biggest book and television show in history: Game of Thrones. But what you probably aren’t aware of is that he’s also self-financed four short films based on the tales of a dear friend.
In the early 1960s, a 15-year-old Martin in Bayonne, New Jersey, was in search of a very rare DC comic. “The Brave and the Bold #28 was very important,” the literary giant tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Because it was the first appearance of the Justice League of America.”
The author managed to find and buy the comic — for a quarter — off of a fellow teenage boy in Arlington, Texas. This boy was named Howard Waldrop, and it was the beginning of a life-long friendship. “I love the guy. I miss him still,” Martin says. “He was certainly my oldest friend in the world of science fiction and fantasy.

If you haven’t yet feasted your eyes and ears on the 2008 musical miniseries, Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, it’s at this time that we urge you to go check it out. Made during the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike, the production, which was originally released on the internet, hails from Joss Whedon, Zack Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen. Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day, and Nathan Fillion, the musical follows Harris’ titular villain on his quest towards becoming a supervillain and wooing the girl of his dreams, Penny (Day), all while foiling the seemingly good deeds done by his superhero rival, Captain Hammer (Fillion). The brief production is filled with catchy tunes, a funny storyline, and endearing characters, quickly catching on with the Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel fandoms.

With a sprawling credit sheet that includes work in titles like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Eureka, The Guild, Supernatural, and Mystery Science Theater 3000, Felicia Day has had plenty of meaningful moments in front of the camera. The actress has played a wide array of characters and, while every job is another chance to grow and hone her craft, she can pinpoint one particular episode of television as her very best. So, which project gave the actress her most memorable performance? During a panel at FanExpo San Francisco, moderated by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt, Day confirmed exactly that.

Stars, they’re just like us. Even the most seasoned performers get nervous every once in a while when tossed a role they just think is completely out of their range. So, although it might be hard to imagine that a veteran actress like Felicia Day could ever doubt herself, she’ll be the first to admit that this couldn’t be further from the case. While sitting for a panel at FanExpo San Francisco, moderated by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt, The Guild star responded to a fan who asked about the most challenging role she’s faced so far. As it often does, the difficult day of work also tied in with one of her strongest memories because it ultimately served as the confidence booster that Day needed to remind herself that she had the talent to do it all.

Taking on different personalities and traits is one of the biggest draws to becoming an actor. You can totally shed your own identity and try on someone else’s all while telling a story through your lines, actions, and emotions. It’s a huge undertaking, but when someone has the spark, it’s a true joy to watch them transform so seamlessly. For Felicia Day, the actress says that she didn’t have much of a challenge getting into the skin of Charlie Bradbury during her days as a recurring cast member on the hit CW series, Supernatural. But, when it comes down to it, the actress isn’t so sure that she and the character are one and the same or if Charlie’s attitude and overall demeanor has blended into the person she has become in the nearly 10 years since her character’s hard-hitting farewell.

Last month, the 82nd annual World Science Fiction Convention — also known as Worldcon — was held in Glasgow, Scotland. Worldcon is a gathering place for sci-fi and fantasy creatives, as well as fans of their work. Readers and viewers can get close to the people who make the stories they love; and on the other end of it, creators who dedicate their lives to the business of making those stories can connect with one another and enjoy a bit of revelry.

Martin said: “Howard saw a rough cut of [“The Ugly Chickens”] before he died. He liked it, which pleases me no end. I only wish we had been able to screen the final cut for him.”
Jennifer Dale (“Coroner”), Natalie Charles (“Suits”) and Mag Ruffman (“Alias Grace”) also star in the short, which was shot on location in Toronto,

John Hamm might have just received two Emmy nominations for his work on The Morning Show, and Fargo, but the 53-year-old actor is turning to the world of podcasting for his next venture. Hamm first became a star in the eyes of many thanks to his portrayal of Don Draper on the AMC series Mad Men, which led to him having a successful career in both film and TV, with one of his latest appearances being in the blockbuster hit Top Gun: Maverick. Now, Hamm is venturing into the fantasy genre, so to speak, with his next project focusing on the massively popular Ttrpg, Dungeons & Dragons.
Per Deadline, Hamm will executive produce and star in Dungeon Masters, a scripted, true-crime podcast series that will explore the world of Dungeons & Dragons through the lens of a private investigator in 1979. Also starring Star Trek alum Wil Wheaton as Dungeons & Dragons creator Gary Gygax,...

Exclusive: Jon Hamm, fresh off his two Emmy nominations, has been set to star in and exec-produce scripted podcast series Dungeon Masters, which heralds from QCode and Smile and Twilight producer Temple Hill.
Created, written and directed by journalist and author David Kushner, the series is based on his research and writing about hit game Dungeons & Dragons, inspired by the real-life missing person case which inadvertently made the game (in)famous.
Set in 1979, the series gives listeners a behind-the-curtain look into the world of Dungeons & Dragons, told through the lenses of private investigator William Dear (Hamm), a swashbuckling style tough guy and creator of the game Gary Gygax (Wil Wheaton). The series follows Dear on his quest to find Dallas Egbert, a Michigan State student, who supposedly disappeared in the steam tunnels under his University while enacting a real-life version of D&d.

Items from Rhett and Link‘s morning show have been enshrined in the nation’s capital. The videomaking duo took a trip to Washington, D.C. to drop off several props from Good Mythical Morning at the Smithsonian Institution.
Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, who have co-hosted Good Mythical Morning each weekday since 2012, contributed to the Smithsonian’s “Entertainment Nation” exhibit, which features artifacts that span 150 years of American content. Rhett and Link’s additions to the exhibit include the original blindfolds they used for Gmm taste tests and a microphone they used to record the show.
Entertainment Nation highlights include Star Wars props and Dorothy’s ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. Despite that company, Rhett and Link brushed off the idea that they are becoming relics of the past. “That’s right, your boys are museum-worthy,” Neal said in a video. “Does that mean we’re old now?...
