- Vincent Giannesini, also known as "Zenzel," graduated from the School of Arts at La Sorbonne with a degree in Visual Arts in 2014.
He has made a name for himself as a director in the fields of music and advertising. He has directed music videos in collaboration with artists such as Aloïse Sauvage, Yaël Naim, and Barbara Pravi, as well as artistic communication campaigns for institutions like the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the brand Aigle, and the iconic department store La Samaritaine.
In 2023, Zenzel returned to contemporary art and his ongoing exploration of the human body. In June, he took over the city of Brussels with the exhibition Arabesque-a photographic series blending the bodies of circus performers with the curves and lines of Brussels' Art Nouveau architecture.
In 2024, he published the book D'en bas personne ne nous voit (From Below, No One Sees Us) with the publishing house Images Plurielles. This work documents nine years of photography and writing centered around his encounters with young freerunners. By following them across Parisian rooftops, he captured their stories, exploring themes of freedom, identity, and risk.
Thanks to his deep understanding of "Parkour freerun," Zenzel was approached by Jean-François Perfetti (Director of Artistic Productions - Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games at Paname 24) and Thomas Jolly (Artistic Director of the Ceremonies) to choreograph the movements of the masked flame-bearer for the Paris Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. For this event, Zenzel directed nine Parkour athletes embodying the Olympic flame-bearer-from the rooftops of Paris to the banks of the Seine...- IMDb mini biography by: Zenzel
