Mumbai, Aug 11 (Ians) Actor and casting director Abhishek Banerjee, who will be soon seen in the upcoming comedy film ‘Dream Girl 2’, has shared that he will be seen essaying the role of Shah Rukh in the film, no not the Bollywood megastar but a regular guy, who is battling depression. In fact, the actor was under the impression that his part would be of Srk or a romantic character at the very least, in the film.

Abhishek Banerjee, who has earned a reputation for his versatility, is known for his work in ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Stree’, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Paatal Lok’ and several other projects.

Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana, who is set to reprise his role of Pooja in the upcoming madcap comedy ‘Dream Girl 2’, has shared the secret behind getting the perfect figure for her alter-ego of female in the film. The actor credits it to his fast metabolism.

Recently, while speaking to the media, the actor who essays dual character of Karam and Pooja in the film, said: “I have quite a fast metabolism. I can lose weight just by doing cardio and giving up on carbs.”

The trailer of the upcoming Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer film ‘Dream Girl 2’, which was unveiled on Tuesday, takes the baton from the film’s predecessor and promises to deliver 10x comedy brought alive by stellar star cast.

The trailer begins with Karam’s (Ayushmann Khurrana) father (Annu Kapoor) receiving a call from a credit card recovery agent, Ayushmann kicks off the comic extravaganza as he mouths the dialogue in a sultry tone as her alter ego of Pooja.

It then presents Ananya Panday’s character who plays Karam’s love interest with the couple planning to get married soon. However, the character of Ananya’s father puts forth a condition that requires Karam to collect Inr 25 lacs in his bank account in 6 months. ‘Dream Girl 2’ will now release on July 7 and to make the announcement, actor Ayushamnn Khurrana dropped a new fun video, where his character Pooja is seen flirting with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ on the phone.

Ayushmann took to Instagram, where he shared a clip announcing the new release date. It was unveiled on the occasion of Valentine’s day.

It shows Ayushmann, who is wearing a lehenga, as his character Pooja without revealing the face talking on phone with ‘Pathaan’. One can hear Shah Rukh Khan’s voice form the other side.
