The Acolyte episode 7 revealed the truth about Brendok's past, showing the Jedi's terrible mistakes. Torbin's motivations felt weak and unconvincing. Resembling Anakin Skywalker wasn't enough to justify Torbin's impulsive behavior in the plot.

The Acolyte episode 7 fleshed out many of the Star Wars show's mysteries, but it also had one glaring flaw that impacted the whole plot. In addition to revealing what really happened on Brendok, thereby absolving Mae of the accusation that she killed the witches of Brendok, The Acolyte episode 7 confirmed, sadly, that the Jedi committed a terrible crime.
