Hulu horror series Light as a Feather adapts Zoe Aarsen's story in which a famous sleepover game takes a supernatural turn.

Hulu is continuing its blitz of original content in the peak television era, this time with a teen-aimed horror series, called Light as a Feather. The series adapts a story by author Zoe Aarsen, centered on an outcast teenage girl who’s forced to deal with the frightening supernatural consequences of the titular sleepover game.

Light as a Feather will manifest with a 10-episode inaugural season on Hulu. The series adaptation is the creation of Lee Fleming Jr., who serves as showrunner and executive producer.

Running Wild plays like if Michael Bay directed Flicka and as the old saying goes two wrongs do not make a right. Now, if you enjoy Michael Bay (Pain and Gain and The Rock are awesome) and you enjoy Flicka, well then this might just be the movie for you. If those movies aren’t your cup of tea, though, you might want to steer clear.

The bringing up of those two recognizable names (Flicka maybe less than Michael Bay) comes with a good purpose in that the film emulates the style of one and the familiar plot elements of the other. Running Wild is about a woman (Dorian Brown, who was excellent on Wilfred) trying to keep her ranch afloat after the death of her husband. It's been announced that Wilfred has been renewed for a fourth but final season. The FX comedy will be moving to Fxx for its final run of 10 episodes (the show's smallest season).

Based on an Australian series of the same name, Wilfred revolves around the relationship of Ryan Newman (Elijah Wood) and his neighbor's dog, Wilfred (Jason Gann). Their relationship is unique in that Ryan sees Wilfred as man in a dog suit and the two have ongoing conversations. Fiona Gubelmann and Dorian Brown also star.

Wilfred's ratings have been in decline since its first season which attracted an average of 1.47 million viewers. Season two brought in 1.11 million and season three, which finished airing last month, dropped to an average of 590,000.

Zap2It had the chance to chat with the cast and producers of "Wilfred" at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, and they promised that some big revelations are yet to come in the ongoing Season 3.

"There's some really crazy stuff that happens this season," says Fiona Gubelmann, who portrays Ryan's (Elijah Wood) neighbor and Wilfred's (Jason Gann) owner, Jenna. "I didn't see any of it coming, and I think that our fans are going to be really excited, but also really shocked. And the stuff that they're setting up this season I think is going to set stuff up for a couple more seasons. I'm really excited to see how people respond."

The cast of "Wilfred" attended San Diego Comic-Con in full force Thursday (July 18), with stars Jason Gann, Fiona Gubelmann and Dorian Brown as well as executive producers David Zuckerman, Reed Agnew and Eli Jorné participlating in Thursday's "Wilfred" panel. Elijah Wood even checked in via satellite, his face hanging large above the audience.

The panel began with a full new episode from Season 3, titled "Stagnation." In the episode Ryan (Wood) discovers his roommate Anne (Kristen Schaal) wants to move out. Loathe to actually get a job, he agrees that Anne's bulldog can move in, upsetting his anthropomorphic dog Wilfred (Gann).

"You're stuck in a rut," Wilfred tells him. Keep in mind the "dog" had just been intimate with a hole in a fence, and in a later scene he urinates in the house in protest. But the bulldog is in heat, driving Wilfred wild with what he perceives as love,...

Elijah Wood may have been physically absent from Comic-Con, but he made an appearance nonetheless via satellite from La to front a lively Wilfred panel presentation moderated by Deadline’s own Dominic Patten. Wilfred is FX’s only comedy offering this summer, (With Louis C.K.’s Louie on hiatus after his HBO concert) and the meta-bending man-and-dog show has put the weight on its shoulder and is just as good as ever, with changes to each character and the mystery of Wilfred (Jason Gann) and Ryan’s (Eiljah Wood) relationship and how far it goes back comes into question. Comic-Con 2013 will kick off on Thursday, July 18 with a new CBS drama… before concluding the day with a pair of serial killers.

The annual pop culture festival has released its full slate of television-based panel discussions for the first full opening day, with attendees being treated to stars such as Josh Holloway, Michael C. Hall and many more. Scroll down for the schedule...

FX is bringing its usual suspects to San Diego Comic-Con this year. Returning fan-favorites "Wilfred," "Archer," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "Sons of Anarchy" will be having panels and booth signings throughout the four-day event.

Unlike most networks that only show teases and sizzle reels from their series' upcoming seasons, FX is going to be rolling out even bigger reveals. Both "Wilfred" and "It's Always Sunny" will premiere new episodes, while "Archer" and "Sons of Anarchy" are showing first-look clips and footage.

For the second week in a row to start Wilfred Season 3, this FX comedy aired a pair of episodes. And for the second week in a row, Wilfred proved to be the best comedy on television this summer.

"Suspicion" was definitely the funnier of the two, using Wilfy's relationship problems with Bear, Dorian Brown's deadpan bitchiness, and a brilliant run of nether-region jokes to split the sides of anyone watching.

It seems whenever Bear takes a major role in an episode things get dicey quickly and subsequently become increasingly hilarious. The made-up conversations by Wilfy are always fantastic, but my favorite yet might have been him explaining what Bear and Joffrey had to say for this entire half hour.

When Wilfy got mad that Bear told him to "pleasure him orally," I never expected the first thing out of the giant man-dog's mouth to be about Bear doing a spot-on Ryan impression.

Chicago – Changing showrunners often proves the kiss of death for comedies. If you watched the Dan Harmon-less fourth season of “Community,” NBC owes you an apology. And so hearing that “Wilfred” was going to tweak its behind-the-scenes staff by moving David Zuckerman from showrunner to exec producer and sliding writer/producers Reed Agnew & Eli Jorne into lead roles, there was reason for concern. Don’t worry. The show is actually better — smarter, funnier, and better-paced. I had issues with the first two seasons of “Wilfred,” the second of which was just released on Blu-ray and DVD, but the start of the third season is easily the most promising to date.

You can find Elijah Wood in theaters this weekend playing a compulsive killer of young women in Franck Khalfoun's remake of "Maniac," offering a physically dissimilar and more angsty take on the crazed character originally dreamed up by Joe Spinell. But on the small screen he's playing a very different style of disturbed as Ryan Newman, the depressive protagonist of FX comedy "Wilfred," the third season of which kicks off on Thursday, June 20 at 10pm. The show began in 2011 with Ryan rising from a night spent unsuccessfully trying to kill himself to find his neighbor, Jenna (Fiona Gubelmann) at the door in search of a last-minute sitter for her dog Wilfred (Jason Gann), who for reasons still unexplained appears to Ryan as a pot-smoking man in a bedraggled canine suit. Over two seasons, Wilfred's served as a companion to Ryan and a doler out of sometimes questionable advice...

The third season of Wilfred is set to air on FX Thursday, June 20 at 10Pm and we’re starting to get our first look at Season 3. But while we savor our chance to see some of the first episodes in advance, we want to share with you some of the guest stars scheduled to appear this season and their roles on the show.

Returning this season is the main cast of Jason Gann (Wilfred), Elijah Wood (Ryan), Fiona Gubelmann (Jenna) and Dorian Brown (Kristen). Making their first appearances on the show are:

Angela Kinsey (The Office) as Heather, a “quirky” dog caretaker.

Zachary Knighton (Happy Endings) as Bill, Ryan’s mailman.

Vincent M. Ward (The Walking Dead) as Darren, a bigger, tougher mailman.

Lance Reddick (Fringe) as Dr. Blum, Ryan’s level-headed, no-nonsense therapist.

Jenny Mollen (Suits) as Kim, Ryan’s high school crush that coincidentally runs a dog training facility in Venice Beach.

"Wilfred," FX's quirky comedy about a depressive young man named Ryan (Elijah Wood) and the titular canine that he and only he sees as a grumpy Australian guy (Jason Gann) in a dog suit, will return for a third season on Thursday, June 20th. The show will kick off with back-to-back episodes but without "Louie," with which it was paired last year, as Louis C.K.'s series is taking the year off. The change doesn't seem likely to affect "Wilfred" much -- though "Louie" gets more critical attention, "Wilfred" actually slightly outpaced it in ratings last year.
