Post the appointment of Censor Chief Pahlaj Nihalani, there have been several controversies lurking around the Cbfc (Censor Board of Film Certification) mainly because of Nihlani's rigid rules that has rubbed some members of the board in a wrong way. Amidst this, the chief has been caught in yet another legal trouble wherein he and his family have been accused of running an illegal resort in Matheran. The resort called 'Fleetwood A House In the Clouds' (also known as Salmona) located 2 kms away from Matheran station that boasts of well-equipped rooms and cottage suites has reportedly been in the possession of Chirag Nihalani, son of Pahlaj Nihalani since 2003. Licensed hotel owners of this hill station, have been allegedly mentioning about the same stating that the Nihlani family, though are paying taxes and charges for amenities (like water, electricity) as per the residential unit, they are using this property for commercial purposes.
