Luiz Fernando F. Machado is a director, screenwriter, editor, and founder of Companhia Boanova de Cinema®. Creator of Estética da Sopa de Pedra®, he has built a unique career in Brazilian cinema based on community experiences and independent creations that straddle fiction and documentary.
He directed the internationally awarded feature films "Albertina" and the recent "Rua Nua e Crua" (a documentary about homeless women), and "Amadeu e a Madeira," a lysergic geopolitical comedy produced in the region (both currently in final production). He has served as a juror and guest at international festivals in Bolivia, Colombia, and Argentina, in addition to teaching audiovisual workshops in schools, indigenous territories, prisons, and vulnerable urban communities.
He is also the author of the screenplay "Amadeu e a Madeira," published by Editora Viseu (Lisbon).
