Julianne Moore just confirmed what fans suspected: she's not in Jurassic World Rebirth, her sixth straight sequel benched since appearing in The Lost World as Dr. Sarah Harding.
"Yeah… I'm not in it. I'm definitely not... Who knows? Once again, out of my control," Moore told ScreenRant at the Echo Valley premiere when asked about Jurassic World Rebirth. Those words—"once again"—speak to the Jurassic franchise's questionable exclusion of the actress.

Julianne Moore addresses whether she is returning in Jurassic World Rebirth. The Oscar-winning actress starred in 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park as Dr. Sarah Harding, a behavioral paleontologist and the love interest of Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), who convinces him to go to Isla Sorna. However, she hasn't been seen or mentioned in the franchise since. The upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth is set to introduce an all-new cast of characters played by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and more, as they infiltrate the forbidden island of Ile Saint-Hubert.
Talking to ScreenRant's Liam Crowley on the red carpet for her new movie Echo Valley, Julianne Moore was asked if she will be returning in Jurassic World Rebirth. She said she is "definitelynot" in the upcoming installment and asked if she will return later on down the line, she said it's uncertain and not up to her. Read her full responses below:

Julianne Moore Spills the Wild Truth Behind Steven Spielberg’s Chaos on the 53%-Rated Thriller’s Set
Before The Lost World: Jurassic Park hit theaters, Julianne Moore was already deep into one of the wildest experiences of her career. In a pre-cgi era, she found herself hauling a 70-pound animatronic baby dinosaur across chaotic sets, no green screens, no digital magic, just pure grit, stamina, and some serious arm strength.
Yet beyond the spectacle, what truly stuck with her was Steven Spielberg’s fast-paced, almost indie-style direction. Moore may have stepped onto set unsure of what she’d signed up for, but she walked away with a career-defining role in one of cinema’s most iconic franchises.
That said, the sequel didn’t quite live up to the original’s legendary status. It fell short because it lacked the fresh magic and emotional connection of the first film, and some felt the story was rushed and less inspired. Despite impressive effects and action, it just didn’t capture the same excitement,...

The Jurassic Park franchise has long thrived on the people's unified intrigue with the Cretaceous era. Dinosaurs roamed the Earth some 66 million years ago, and their fossilized existence in the ground has perpetually piqued the people's interest. The Jurassic Park movies have been able to surface a primal love of creature features and adventure on the big screen.
Fans have come to love and appreciate the thrill of a good dino chase or a battle where the human characters are essentially out of their depth. However, despite trying to keep things scientifically sound, the Jurassic movies have culminated in a long list of mishaps and illogical details. As a result, there are many elements from the movies that have never made sense, even decades after their release.

Quick Links What Happened to Jurassic Park III's Forgotten Hero? Why Paul Kirby is Jurassic Park III's Underrated Protagonist Why Paul Kirby Deserves His Happily Ever After
As fans reflect on the Jurassic World series and speculate about its potential next chapter, they may be surprised to discover that a forgotten Jurassic Park character's legacy has been hiding in plain sight for 24 years. The Jurassic Park franchise has a long history of introducing intriguing characters who vanish without resolution. Activist Nick Van Owen, for example, disappeared after his actions in The Lost World: Jurassic Park indirectly led to a T. Rex rampaging through San Diego. Fan-favorite Sarah Harding, a key figure in the same film, quietly faded into obscurity, presumably as yet another "ex-Mrs. Malcolm." Even Jurassic Park III left loose ends, such as Billy Brennan's uncertain fate after narrowly escaping death. Yet among these unresolved arcs,...

Although Jurassic World Dominion was missing one character from earlier in the franchise, a comeback from one Jurassic Park trilogy character might have saved the sequels pointless plot. 2022s Jurassic World Dominion brought the Jurassic World trilogy to a close not with a bang, but with a critically abhorred whimper. Although the sequel was a financial success, Jurassic World Dominion earned some of the franchises worst reviews ever. Jurassic World Dominions ending failed to provide satisfying answers to the franchises many plot holes and the movie opened up a few new ones during its far-fetched story.
However, one thing no one could fault Jurassic World Dominion for was a failure to honor the franchises past. Jurassic World Dominion brought back countless characters from earlier movies, including Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Great, a recast Lewis Dodgson, and Dr. Henry Wu. Jurassic World 4 could bring back characters from the original Jurassic Park trilogy, including Tim Murphy, Lex Murphy, Billy Brennan, Sarah Harding, and Nick Van Owen to maintain a connection to the original movies. Tim Murphy's experiences in Jurassic Park could shape him into a paleontologist or someone who objects to dinosaurs in the world, while Lex Murphy's personality suggests she would be outspokenly against dinosaurs altogether. The return of Billy Brennan could explain why he stopped working with Dr. Alan Grant and explore his involvement with dinosaurs further, while Sarah Harding could assist in managing the consequences of dinosaurs living alongside humans.
In Jurassic World 4, many interesting characters from the original Jurassic Park trilogy could return. The Jurassic Park movies have brought some iconic scenes to the big screen, with the best 60-second moments featuring thrilling interactions between humans and dinosaurs. From the T-rex chase sequence in the original Jurassic Park to the Indominus Rex escape in Jurassic World, these moments showcase how epic the franchise truly is. Jurassic World Dominion features an exciting moment with Ian Malcolm facing off against a fearsome Giganotosaurus, paying homage to his iconic scene from the first movie.

The Jurassic Park franchise had its fair share of antagonists, from the blind ambition of John Hammond to the twisted hunting tactics of Ken Wheatley in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. But of all these opposing ideals and forces, Lewis Dodgson served as the true villain of the franchise, even though he was largely hands-off of the series' many events. His influence was so important that it led to an even greater problem that nearly destroyed the world in Jurassic World Dominion.
Lewis Dodgson only had a brief appearance in Jurassic Park, where he assigned Dennis Nedry to steal DNA samples from the park just as a hurricane was approaching. But it was his actions that played into a major disaster that led to the dinosaurs breaking free and the deaths of many, including himself. All the while, Dodgson remained hands-off until his company, Biosyn, capitalized on the events of Jurassic World...

The Masked Singer has revealed its latest mystery as snooker star Stephen Hendry was unveiled as Rubbish.
In Saturday’s (21 January) festival-themed episode, Rubbish performed alongside Fawn, Jacket Potato, Rhino and Pigeon.
After his performance of “Ruby” by Kaiser Chiefs, Rubbish landed in the bottom two and was ultimately sent home by the judging panel.
Guesses ranged from athletes Max Whitlock and Sir Chris Hoy to presenters Paddy McGuinness and Jay Blades.
However, no-one managed to detect that it was Stephen Hendry in the colourful costume.
One of the clues hinted at him being celebrated for his youth – fitting, as Hendry became a professional snooker player at age 16 in 1985.
In 1994, Hendry was awarded an MBE, while he and Ronnie O’Sullivan share the record for the most World Snooker Championship titles, with seven.
On taking part in the competition, Hendry explained that his primary goal was to try something out of his comfort zone.

Vince Vaughn had a notable role in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the action-packed first sequel in the franchise based on Michael Crichton's novels. However, this was the first and only time that Vaughn appeared in a Jurassic Park movie, as he didn't return for the next four installments and also wasn't part of the original's cast.
The Lost World featured one of the first major roles for Vaughn, after he played Jamie O'Hara in the 1993 sports drama Rudy and Trent Walker in the 1996 comedy Swingers. While the actor is best known for comedies, such as Wedding Crashers, Old School, and The Break-Up, Vaughn has also done a few horror movies, with which the Jurassic Park franchise is closely aligned. Former Nickelodeon star Alexa Nikolas has hit out at plans to reboot Zoey 101, claiming it sends a “damaging” message to survivors.
Nikolas, 30, appeared opposite Jamie Lynn Spears in the first two seasons of the kids’ TV show, which aired from 2005 to 2008.
In recent years, the actor has claimed that she “didn’t feel safe” or “protected” at Nickelodeon, even staging a protest at the network’s headquarters last summer.
Earlier in January, it was announced that Zoey 101 is to return for a sequel film – titled Zoey 102 – starring Spears and several other former cast members.
In response, Nikolas protested outside Nickelodeon HQ again on Friday (20 January), telling TMZ that she didn’t believe the film should be made.
“It’s damaging to any survivor that wants to come forward,” she said. “We want to make sure as a society that we are encouraging survivors to come forward and that we’re not discouraging them.

Pamela Anderson has said that she doesn’t blame Lily James for portraying her in the series Pam and Tommy.
Last year, James and Sebastian Stan starred in Hulu’s miniseries about the leaking of Anderson and her husband, Mötley Crüe musician Tommy Lee’s, sex tape.
The show was made without collaboration with Anderson, leading to public criticism of the series.
While she never commented publicly on the show, Courtney Love took aim at the project, calling it a “disgusting” show she said was causing her friend Anderson “complex trauma”.
In a new interview ahead of the release of her Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story, Anderson offered up her opinion on James’s performance.

The This is Going to Hurt soundtrack Vinyl LP will be released on 21 October, with £1 from every sale going to NHS charities.
The series starring Ben Whishaw, released earlier this year, is based on Adam Kay’s multi-million copy bestseller This is Going to Hurt.
The original soundtrack was written and performed for the series by Jarv Is – the band comprising Jarvis Cocker, Serafina Steer, Emma Smith, Andrew McKinney, Adam Betts & Jason Buckle.
Each episode features at least one song with lyrics by Cocker, who had access to the scripts (adapted by Adam Kay from his own book) from an early stage in the production process.
Most of the soundtrack is made up from live takes featuring the entire band – often recorded whilst they watched the playback of key sequences from the series: “It’s our love song to the NHS,” said Cocker on the record.

"She’s wonderful. I love her. I only became aware of her really through her music,” said Albarn in an interview on Apple Music 1.
Albarn admitted he had no idea yet what the music would end up sounding like: “Who knows? [It] could be kind of babbling brook folk or dark satanic metal.”
The pair clearly have a mutual respect for each other; Eilish brought out Albarn during her headline Coachella set earlier this year.
Together, they previously performed Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” and Gorillaz’ “Feel Good Inc”.

Sam Smith has said that Queer music can be “anything” while discussing their new music.
A decade after releasing “Latch” alongside dance duo Disclosure, the singer was responding to questions about their new sound and reiterated how queer music can be any genre.
“I don’t enjoy the fact that to be queer, it has to be dance music,” they said in an interview for British GQ Style’s Autumn/ Winter 2022 issue.
“I think queer music can be country, it can be folk, it can be jazz, it can be anything.”
“I do find it hard sometimes when people may think that my music’s got queerer, because to me, it hasn’t. The subject matter of my songs [has] always been about men I’ve been in love with. They’ve always been queer.”
The 30-year-old also spoke about how their newfound confidence had enhanced their romantic life.

A key element of “Jurassic World Dominion” is Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcolm reunion with the original “Jurassic Park” crew, as the quartet share the screen for the first time since 1993.
But that plot point isn’t the only “Jurassic” milestone for 2022. Attention must also be paid to the 25th anniversary of the dinosaur franchise’s second film, 1997’s “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.”
Goldblum’s Malcolm took the lead in that movie, which debuted on May 23, 1997 and saw the sci-fi action move from the original park on Isla Nublar to Isla Sorna (otherwise known as Site B) where the resurrected dinosaurs roam freely.
After a young girl is attacked on the island, Jurassic Park founder John Hammond (the late Richard Attenborough) recruits a team, led by Malcolm, to study and document the animals in their natural habitat in hopes of encouraging the government to enact a policy of non-interference.

Singer Sarah Harding has documented her battle with breast cancer in her biography. She talks about the "little victories" in her struggle.
"Mri scans at the end of December revealed that the tumours in my brain and in my lung have shrunk a bit with the treatment. (I don't know) exactly what this means (but) right now, every little victory feels momentous. With this news under my belt, I was able to enjoy a relaxing quiet Christmas with mum and yes, I got plenty of lovely Christmas pressies. At the moment, I'm just grateful to wake up every day and live my best life, because now I know just how precious it is," she writes at the end of the book, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
In an earlier interview, Sarah had spoken about how doctors had announced that Christmas last year would be her last.

This article contains spoilers for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous season 2 and the Jurassic franchise at large.
Our first introduction to Jurassic Park and its dinosaurs is on a dark and misty night, Men wait with guns as the crane crashes through the forest carrying a Velociraptor we are only allowed glimpses of. Tension hangs in the air. When she tries to escape, there are cries of “Shoot her! Shoot her!” The raptor attacks, and rest in peace Jophery, first victim of the monster.
If this scene tells us anything, it is that we are undoubtedly watching a monster movie. And Jurassic Park is. Throughout the first film in this now-lengthy franchise, characters are eaten and dismembered and terrorized as the result of the monsters running free and doing whatever they want with no regard for human safety. Yet, many years later, in the second season of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,...

At least one character from the history of the franchise is not returning for Jurassic World 3. Or, at the very least, she hasn't been asked yet. This, according to Julianne Moore, who recently revealed that she has not been contacted to reprise her role as Sarah Harding in the upcoming sequel.
Julianne Moore is currently promoting her new movie The Glorias. During a recent interview, she was asked about the possibility of returning in Jurassic World: Dominion as her character from the first sequel, 1997's The Lost World. As Moore tells it, she hasn't been approached but is happily willing to dance with dinosaurs once again, provided the opportunity. Here's what she had to say about it.
"Yeah, Sarah Harding. Maybe she's not done yet. I don't know. But no one has approached me. That's ok! But if they did? Yeah, sure! Of course, of course!"

I've not posted on here for so long, thank you to everyone who has reached out to check in on me, it really does mean a lot," the 38-year-old began. Life finds a way...For Netflix subscribers to watch the Jurassic Park trilogy next month. But one streaming service's gain is another's loss, as Peacock, which recently launched nationwide through NBCUniversal, is losing the popular blockbusters little more than two weeks after they debuted. It is an example of just how competitive the situation has become for marquee content in the current media landscape, with the streaming wars heating up in a big way.
Peacock launched in the U.S. on July 15 and the Jurassic Park movies were a potentially huge draw. But it seems a short-term, 17-day licensing window was worked out that was put in place to help draw attention to content on the service in the early days. Meanwhile, Netflix revealed recently via its official Twitter account that the first three entries in the franchise, 1993's Jurassic Park, 1997's The Lost World: Jurassic Park and 2001's Jurassic Park III,...

Steven Spielberg crafted one of the unquestioned greatest blockbusters of all time with 1993's Jurassic Park. It also spawned one of the most successful franchises in cinematic history, with four sequels produced over the years, earning more than $5 billion at the box office. A sixth entry, Jurassic World: Dominion is currently in the works, but we've got some time to kill before it arrives. So, now comes the task of ranking the movies, in order, from worst to first.
Right off the bat, I need to say that Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time (not to spoil things in terms of the ranking here). That's important because this is near and dear to my heart. The Jurassic Park franchise has at least more installment in store for us. Jurassic World 3, officially titled Jurassic World: Dominion, is currently in the works and will round out the current trilogy that kicked off in 2015. While many details remain mysterious about the sequel, what we know for sure is it will be bringing in many characters from throughout the history of the series. With that in mind, there are several figures we haven't seen in some time that could make a fresh appearance, alongside some of these other returning favorites.
Details regarding the movie's plot are, at present, slim. We know it will feature dinosaurs out in the real world, given what we saw at the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as the live-action short Battle at Big Rock. Plus, Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, is returning to the helm to finish what he started.
