Biography

    • Steve Peacock is an actor, model, voice-over artist, and emcee who was born in the Bronx and now lives in New Jersey. Last year he made his off-Broadway debut in "Depths of Wikipedia with Annie Rauwerda," performing in back-to-back sold-out shows at the Gramercy Theater in a comedic "Asset Forfeiture" skit that he created and improvised with Rauwerda. Earlier in the year he emceed Dream Baby Press' "Royal Rumble" literary event at New York City's Church Street Boxing Club, where he introduced to the audience guest-readers that included Rauwerda and actresses Jemima Kirke, Angela Trimbur and Jo Firestone. He appeared on CBS Sports (2020 & 2021) as emcee of the iconic Mr. America bodybuilding competition, for which he was also scriptwriter and post-event voice-over artist. Peacock likewise has acting credits on "Billy Buys Brooklyn" (Discovery Channel), and has earned credits as a model and actor for numerous cable TV and online commercials.

  • Peacock authored the memoir "Hotel Dick: Harlots, Starlets, Thieves & Sleaze" (2003; iUniverse) following his five-year stint as a house detective, a.k.a. "hotel dick", of the Helmsley Palace hotel in New York City.
  • Peacock made his off-Broadway debut on Sept. 14, 2023, performing in a comedic skit in "Depths of Wikipedia with Annie Rauwerda." He co-created the routine with Rauwerda, who came up with the idea of "introducing" -- ring-announcer style -- litigants in a series of government "asset forfeiture" cases. He also joined Frank Sinatra tribute artist Eric DeLauro in singing "(Theme from) New York, New York" in the show's encore.
