Biography

Julie Forbes Resh is an Atlanta-based actress. She was born in York, Pennsylvania and lived there throughout her childhood and college years. She attended York College of Pennsylvania, earning a bachelor degree in Psychology with triple I minors in music, theatre, and speech communication. Upon graduation from York College, Julie married her high school boyfriend, Timothy Resh. Together they have one daughter, Addison Resh. Julie later earned a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology where her focus was on dealing with children who had been sexually abused. She has worked in private practice and has taught psychology for the Georgia State University.

Julie has enjoyed being on stage since a young age. She participated in her grade school and college productions in a variety of capacities. Immediately following her marriage, Julie moved to Texas and pursued a part-time acting career in semi-professional theatre. Two years later, she and her husband moved to Atlanta, Georgia for her to complete her doctorate. Unfortunately, attending grad school and having her daughter, did not allow time for her to participate in any productions. However, after a ten year hiatus, Julie returned to the stage. Since then, she has been cast in numerous productions in small theatres in the Metro Atlanta area.

As Hollywood began to move the TV and movie industry to Georgia, Julie's acting interests began to turn towards this avenue. Once her daughter, Addison, began college in 2020, Julie began to delve into the world of acting on screen. During the summer of 2021, Julie landed her first paying job on the hit Netflix series, "Stranger Things". Since then, she has retired from being a college professor and has gone into full time stage and screen acting.
