ReviewVishwaksen, who plays dual roles in Das Ka Dhamki, has also written and directed the film co-starring Nivetha Pethuraj. There is a drug to cure cancer. There is another drug that controls human minds. Obsessed with nameless drugs and their extraordinary capabilities, Das Ka Dhamki is set in a world where peer review of any scientific study or research is unheard of. The film stars Vishwaksen, who has also written the screenplay and handled the direction. The cast also includes Nivetha Pethuraj, Rao Ramesh, Rohini, Tharun Bhascker, Akshara Gowda, Hyper Aadhi, Mahesh, and others. Vishwaksen plays dual roles in the film. He appears as Krishna Das, a waiter, and also as Sanjay Rudra, a pharmaceutical company’s CEO. Jackson Browne And Bonnie Raitt To Join Star-Studded Sing Out For Seva Benefit Concert
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jackson Browne, multi-Grammy award-winner Bonnie Raitt, Grammy award-winning blues artist Joan Osborne, Mickey Hart and Friends and Pura Fe & Cary Morin plus host Wavy Gravy, will celebrate the Berkeley-based Seva Foundation on January 12th at a benefit concert at the Fox Theatre in Oakland called Sing Out for Seva.

This event marks four decades of benefit concerts performed by celebrity artists since Seva was founded forty years ago. By expanding access to eye care in developing nations, Seva is leading the global charge to eliminate avoidable blindness within our lifetime.

The music-filled documentary One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das chronicles the life of Jeffrey Kagel…and how his life path ultimately resulted in his emergence as Krishna Das—the world-renowned spiritual teacher, chant master and Grammy-nominated recording artist.

It begins in 1970, when young musician Kagel turned down the lead singer slot in the band that would become Blue Oyster Cult. He sold all his possessions and moved from the New York suburbs to the Himalayan foothills in search of happiness and a little-known saint named Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaj-ji).

One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das follows Kagel’s journey to India and back, his struggles with depression and drug abuse, and his eventual “return” as Krishna Das.

Zeitgeist Films has acquired Jeremy Frindel’s documentary “One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das” for a theatrical release next April. Frindel’s film tracks the story of Jeffrey Kagel, who in 1970 declined to sing for the band that would become Blue Oyster Cult, sold all his possessions and went to the Himalayas to find a saint named Neem Karoli Baba. In the process, Kagel eventually became the chant master Krishna Das, who was recently nominated for a Grammy for Best New Age Album. J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. scored the film with Devadas.
