Given its impressive box office performance, a sequel to Jurassic World: Rebirth feels all but guaranteed.

Over the weekend, the film’s global total climbed to $718.4 million, earning $301.5 million in North America and $416.8 million from international markets.

With a production budget reportedly set at $180 million and an additional $90 million spent on marketing, Rebirth needed to bring in roughly $540 million globally to break even, based on the standard 50/50 revenue share with theaters. It surpassed that benchmark weeks ago.

As ticket sales continue to rise, analysts now predict the film could easily surpass $800 million worldwide by the end of its theatrical run, strengthening the case for another installment in the franchise.

After a strong debut, there was speculation that Jurassic World Rebirth might cut into Superman’s opening weekend box office. However, both films appear to have found a way to coexist in North America, managing to perform well without significantly hurting each other.

In its second weekend, Jurassic World Rebirth saw a 57% drop in domestic earnings, fairly standard for a major tentpole release. Looking at other top 2025 films, this trend holds:

Lilo & Stitch opened with $146.01 million and dropped 57% to $63 million in weekend number two. A Minecraft Movie debuted at $162.75 million, followed by $80.6 million the next weekend- a 50% dip. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning went from $64.04 million to $27.22 million- a 57% drop. How to Train Your Dragon opened at $84.63 million, dropping 56% to $36.58 million the following weekend. Sinners, however, broke the pattern, falling just 5% from $48.01 million to $45 million- a highly unusual hold for a blockbuster.

“Jurassic World Rebirth” marks the next chapter in the “Jurassic” franchise and as such, it brings a lot of new faces with it.

Taking place years after the events of “Jurassic World Dominion,” the Gareth Edwards film takes a new group of people to an island near the equator, where dinosaurs roam freely and travel is expressly prohibited. There, they intend to collect samples from various species to help advance medical research.

Now obviously, this is a “Jurassic World” movie, so things go off the rails pretty quick. But here’s who you need to know.

Jurassic World Rebirth is here, and fans are here for it. From a nostalgic plot point to a bone-crunching D-Rex to scary popcorn buckets, the movie has everything to lure fans to the theatres. Directed by Gareth Edwards,Rebirth is the sequel to Jurassic World Dominion and marks the seventh film in the franchise. With an ensemble cast, the movie has garnered initial mixed reviews, but there’s a long way to go. Now to excite fans further, Universal has already put out a limited edition 4K Steelbook.

The steelbook features scenes from the film on the cover and on the interior. Given the movie is still fresh in theatres, a release date or the bonus content in the steelbook hasn’t been announced. Nonetheless, per ComicBook, the limited edition 4K Blu-ray Steelbook offers a new collection that includes all 7 films in the franchise across formats, making it a perfect addition to any collection.

Manifest actress Luna Blaise has landed herself a great role in the upcoming Jurassic World sequel, Jurassic World Rebirth. In the film, she appears as Teresa Delgado, the daughter of Reuben Delgado, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. The film will be her first major on-screen project, as she has appeared mainly in TV shows, short films, and minor roles in small films.

She started acting professionally at the age of five. She did many commercials for brands including McDonald’s, KFC, Dunkin Hines, Target, and Gap. She appeared in the independent film, Memoria, executive produced by James Franco. Her network television debut came in ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat, where she played the recurring role of Nicole Ellis.

In 2018, she was cast as Olive Stone in the NBC supernatural thriller, Manifest. She is also a trained dancer, with ten years of experience in Russian ballet. She also had a musical career.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to expand the franchise’s rich mythology with the introduction of Site C, a never-before-seen island that adds a dark new chapter to the saga.

Unlike Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna, Site C was a top-secret InGen facility, hidden not just from the public, but even from many within the corporation itself.

This remote island wasn’t built for tourists or attractions; it served as a shadowy testing ground for InGen’s most extreme genetic experiments, including dinosaurs considered too aggressive, unstable, or unpredictable for any theme park setting.

Here, InGen crossed ethical and scientific lines, engineering creatures that were ultimately deemed too dangerous for the outside world.

In new behind-the-scenes footage, we get a glimpse of the Delgado family: Reuben (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), Teresa (Luna Blaise), Isabella (Audrina Miranda), and Teresa’s boyfriend Xavier Dobbs, who find themselves in peril when a mosasaurus capsizes their sailboat.

Jurassic World Rebirth is still a few weeks away from its official release, but it is already making headlines, thanks to some of its most spectacular cast members.
