Inside Out 2 Actor Wants More Sequels 'Every Couple Of Years'
Image
A sequel to the 2015 Pixar film Inside Out was inevitable, since new emotions would accompany Riley into adolescence. Actor Amy Poehler, who voices Joy, believes there is potential for more movies in the animated franchise.

"I just think that they should make these films like Seven Up, every couple of years in Riley's life," Poehler told Empire, referring to the 1964 documentary film series that chronicled the lives of nine people (four women and 10 men) at various ages. "A young adult, a young mother, and I think a middle-aged person," she added. "Everyone's having these very distinct new emotions that are showing up all the time."

It Was Very Inspirational for Me: Inside Out 2 Writer Teases Rileys Belief System
Image
Inside Out 2 co-writer Dave Holstein and director Kelsey Mann opened up about the creative process behind developing Rileys Belief System in the highly-anticipated animated sequel. Rileys Belief System is expected to become one of the "core elements" of the upcoming movie.

During a recent interview with Empire, Holstein and Mann believed that introducing Rileys Belief System would be giving fans "the emotional hit" that was lacking from the first installment. "Now that Rileys a teenager, shes starting to develop her own set of beliefs," Mann explained. "What if we actually hear Riley say her beliefs in her own voice? If you hear her say, Im kind,' you can hear [in] the performance how she feels about that. Or, 'My parents are proud of me.' On the flip-side, if theres a belief thats not so good, you can really hear the emotion of it."

New story elements for Inside Out 2 have been teased in a new image of Joy. Continuing the story of Pixars 2015 hit, Inside Out 2 will continue the story of Riley as she goes through puberty. Adding on to its central emotions of Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust, and Sadness, Inside Out 2 features new emotions including Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy. Said emotions are voiced by Maya Hawke, Paul Walter Hauser, Adle Exarchopoulos, and Ayo Edebiri, respectively.

Inside Out 2’s Belief System Is ‘The Emotional Hit The Last Movie Could Not Give’ – Exclusive Image
Image
The majority of Pixar films are not to be watched without tissues. From the furnace farewell in Toy Story 3, to the ‘Married Life’ sequence in Up, to the ‘Remember Me’ scene in Coco, the studio tends to have one hand placed firmly on your tear-ducts. And that’s not to mention Inside Out, perhaps the most emotionally effective of any Pixar film. The ‘death’ of Bing Bong, the first foray through young Riley’s mind, the reconciliation of Joy and Sadness… it’s a non-stop heart-squeezer. And that’s a tough act to follow for this year’s Inside Out 2, following Riley through puberty as a raft of new emotions – chiefly Anxiety, plus Envy, Embarrassment and Ennui – come into play.

According to incoming writer Dave Holstein, the newly-developed ‘Belief System’ in Riley’s mind isn’t just a cool environment for the sequel to explore – it’s going...

Inside Out 2 Cut A Hilarious Gag That The Filmmakers Hope To Bring Back For Inside Out 3
Image
Pixar's "Inside Out 2" is coming to theaters this summer, bringing back the delightful emotions at the helm of a girl named Riley as she grows up and figures out life as a teenager. The original "Inside Out" not only delivered the touching and amusing personification of the emotions that drive our everyday decisions, but they also created an innovative world that created physical representations of the inner workings of our mind, such as a literal train of thought and a massive library of past experiences that make up long term memory. So the sequel will be expanding the interior of Riley's mind, not only with new emotions, but with unexplored areas.

Of course, the arrival of Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Ennui (Adele Exarchopoulos), and Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser) make things much more difficult for the seasoned emotions of Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black...

‘Drag Race Holland’ Winner Envy Peru Attacked By Four Men On Bus In Amsterdam
Image
Envy Peru, the winner of Drag Race Holland, revealed that she was attacked while riding a bus in Amsterdam in an Instagram post.

She called this assault a “wake-up call” for her and the LGBTQ community.

“I was attacked in broad daylight by 4 young men while on the bus in Amsterdam. They threatened me with a weapon while making offensive slurs towards me and filming it. Even when I tried to distance myself from the situation by moving away, they continued and kept trying to hit me,” she wrote. “As I tried to get away, what shocked me the most was that only one sweet lady stood up for me – in a whole bus full of people.”

The attacks didn’t end there and when Peru got off the bus she “sensed the boys following me, then one of them ran towards me and kicked me to the floor. Four...

10 Most Violent Fights in Shonen Anime History, Ranked
Image
The world of shonen anime features plenty of action-oriented series where martial arts, magic, and swords will usually win the day. These combat-oriented shonen series rank among the most popular in the entire anime industry thanks to their eye-popping combat sequences. This includes older series from the 1980s and '90s that still hold up, and plenty of new series that keep the action going.

Some fight scenes in shonen anime are defined by clever tricks and resourceful thinking, such as Stand battles in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Other shonen action scenes are all about extreme violence, where the heroes and villains go all-out to beat each other senseless with their fists, kicks, and even bone-shattering magical attacks. These fight scenes aren't for the faint of heart, but for action fans, anime doesn't get any better than this.

Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Becomes Envy in Transformative Cosplay
Image
A talented Fullmetal Alchemist fan perfectly recreated one of the homunculus's transformative powers.

Posted on Reddit by Purple Toast, the Envy cosplay perfectly captures the moment the Fullmetal Alchemist antagonist transitions from impersonating Maria Ross to his natural form; early on in the story, the homunculus dons the Second Lieutenant's form as a disguise in order to assassinate Maes Hughes, as the Lieutenant Colonel had gotten close to figuring out Father's plan.

Why Fma 2003's Alternate Ending Is Worth Watching
Image
At the peak of popularity, Fullmetal Alchemist received a 51-episode anime adaptation in 2003–2004. At the time, though, the manga series was still ongoing. The anime studio Bones had several options while waiting for the manga series to complete. They could have gone the My Hero Academia route of producing story arcs on a seasonal basis to align with the manga or the Bleach route of creating original side stories. Instead, the studio honored Hiromu Arakawa's request. The series pivoted from the manga, only covering seven volumes of the original material and providing a different ending.

Fans of Fullmetal Alchemist were indifferent about the original ending for this series, but they understood Arakawa's wishes. Some fans did not even watch the original series and only acknowledged Brotherhood as the only adaptation of the series. However, even though it is not the actual ending of the manga, Fullmetal Alchemist provides an...

Brie Larson's Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Character Explained
Image
Before she became an A-list movie star with an Oscar and a Marvel role to her name, Brie Larson gave an unforgettable supporting turn in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Larson is now known for playing Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and for winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for her powerful performance as a kidnapped mother in the 2015 drama Room. But prior to her big break in the 2013 indie gem Short Term 12 and her memorable role as Jonah Hill’s love interest in the 2012 action comedy 21 Jump Street, Larson stole the show in 2010's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Released in 2010, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was the first big-budget Hollywood production helmed by Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy director Edgar Wright. Although Scott Pilgrim bombed at the box office on its initial release, it has garnered a huge cult following in the years since.

Scott Pilgrim Anime Series Will Bring Back Cast Of Edgar Wright's Movie
Image
"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" remains one of the best video game adjacent movies ever, one that captures the aesthetic and the essence of leveling up and defeating bosses, all while also being, along with "Speed Racer" and "Alita: Battle Angel," one of the best live-action anime movies, even though this one is not based on an anime.

Edgar Wright's second most underrated film (after "The World's End") exudes style, is presented through a very specific lens, and if you get on its wavelength, it results in a phenomenal cartoony experience and a great adaptation of the comic series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. And yet, as well as the film captures the anime aesthetic, there are things that just don't quite work in live-action. It is great news, then, that this story is finally making its way to the medium it was always meant to be told in — anime.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Fixed the Homunculi By Making Them Worse
Image
Not many manga get to become anime twice, but Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the most interesting to do so because of how much they diverge--especially when it comes to the homunculi. The first series was praised for making its homunculi villains sympathetic, so why did Brotherhood make them so much less so?

In the 2003 anime, the trio of Sins known as Lust, Gluttony, and Envy see a lot of focus, and act as the main driving force for the plot in many circumstances. Their goal is still to obtain a philosopher's stone, but the reasons why are very different. The Fullmetal Alchemist manga wasn't finished at the time of the 2003 anime, so after roughly the midpoint, the series goes in its own direction, where the focus on the homunculus trio only increases. Brotherhood, by contrast, was created to follow the manga closely, and in the manga, the homunculi are...

Glee: Rachel Berry's 10 Most Cringeworthy Quotes
Image
Lea Michele is thriving on Broadway as Fanny Brice in the revival of Funny Girl, and fans can't help but notice the "life imitates art" of it all. Michele's character on Glee, Rachel Berry, was famously obsessed with the role and idolized the play's original star, Barbra Streisand.

Rachel was Glee's de-facto female lead, beloved by many but disliked by others. She was notoriously complicated, overly dramatic, and often cringy in her interactions with others. And throughout the show's six seasons, she delivered many quotes that were too embarrassing to be real, cementing her place as the show's resident drama queen.

"I Made It Clear That Anything From West Side Story Goes To Me." Season 1, Episode 4, "Preggers"

Season 1 has Rachel at her utter worst. She believes herself better than others and tramples over people on her way to the top. Nowhere is this clearer than on her demand that every...

All About The Latest Season of “Marriage Boot Camp”
Relationships are a mixture of moments of bliss, happiness, tears, and fights. Sometimes couples go all the way, and other times they end in divorce. What happens when divorce looms? Where do the couples turn to?

“Marriage Boot Camp” is one of the places couples turn to for help. WeTV calls it “the most extreme relationship therapy boot camp,” and you better believe it. The show brings together couples having troubles in their relationship — under the same roof — and makes them go through some exercises with help and guidance from in-house experts, Judge Lynn Toler, Dr. Ish Major, and Dr. Venus Nicolino. In the end, some of these relationships are salvageable, and others are not.

The reality TV show, which recently concluded its 19th season, is quite popular among Millennials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers and ranks 481 among the most popular contemporary TV shows, according to a rating by YouGovAmerica.

Film Review: Full Metal Alchemist The Revenge of Scar (2022) by Fumihiko Sori
Image
The second part of the trilogy adapting the famous manga and anime (one of the best of all time actually) has recently been released on Netflix, continuing the story from the middle part of the original, focusing on Scar’s arc, one of the most interesting characters in the whole franchise.

As it is soon revealed, Scar is on a mission to kill every State Alchemist, in a desperate effort to exact revenge from the genocide the army committed years ago in Ishval, with his quest eventually revealing another side of the army and particularly of the Fuhrer, which was not evident at all before. At the same time, Edward and Alphonse stumble upon a prince named Lin Yao and his two bodyguards, who are in search of the Philosopher’s Stone, as much as Lan Fan, a kind-hearted girl who is from the same country as the three foreigners.
