  • Kristin is an accomplished carpenter, having learned the trade from her grandfather Bill, and father Bruce, both Master Carpenters.
  • Kristin's paternal aunt; Paula Sawyer, appeared in Tom Cruise's 'Days of Thunder,' as one of three nurses who wheeled Cruise's character Cole into the ER after the major crash scene. Kristin's aunt had been a long-time employee of Halifax Hospital in Daytona beach, Fl, where the scene was filmed.
  • In 2021, during the COVID pandemic lock-down, Kristin wrote and illustrated a 53-page cartoon horse book called: 'The Grass Is Always Greener... a collection of Kirby & Clyde cartoons.' The artist began drawing the characters; Kirby and Clyde when she was just 17 years old. The same year (2021) she also completed her western screenplay 'Canyon of the Damned.' Copyright 2021.
  • Kristin's maternal grandfather Wilbur 'Bill' Silva was a pin-up artist during WWII. While serving in the 5th Airforce he painted numerous pin-ups on bombers, fighters, and jeeps. After the Airforce he went into advertising design, and architectural rendering.
  • Kristin is an accomplished equestrian, having ridden horses since the age of 18 months. She is also an outspoken advocate against horse abuse and slaughter.

  • Kristin is a great lover of classic cars and owns a deep purple, custom 1973 Corvette Stingray that she purchased when she was 19 years old. Kristin has known Pam and her grandson Justin; a Brazilian Jujitsu Pan Am medalist, and cast member of upcoming survival show 'Outlast,' since she was a teenager. Justin's father is renowned thoroughbred jockey Jon Court, who once starred in the Discovery Channel's TV series 'Jockeys.'.
  • Kristin is a published poet and author, and enjoys reading in her down time.
  • Kristin is a huge fan of all music genres, Country and Blues included, but she particularly enjoys rock and metal. Bands like AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Sevendust, Oasis, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones are at the top of her list. When painting or sketching, she enjoys something lighter including; Edith Piaf, Fredric Chopin, and Beethoven. She's also a fan of live music and concerts.
  • Kristin has a love of classic war planes, particularly the P51 Mustangs, and B17 Bombers of WWII, having gathered extensive knowledge of both through attending airshows, as well as through books. Growing up, her maternal grandfather Bill, a WWII Air-Force veteran also taught her much about these machines of the skies.
  • Some of the authors Kristin enjoys reading works by include; Hunter S. Thompson, Dan Brown, William S. Boroughs, J.R.R. Tolkien, Frances FitzGerald, and Stephen King.

  • Kristin started print and spokes-modeling at the age of 13.
  • Kristin went skydiving in 2007 and loved it, saying, "It's like nothing on earth! It was beautiful and amazing, and I'd definitely do it again!".
  • Kristin grew up a tomboy; riding horses, climbing trees, and working on cars. "I was more of a HotWheels girl, I never cared much for dolls. I had Barbies that relatives bought me, but I was far more interested in my Barbie's Corvette. I even played body shop once and painted it, adding a flame job! So there you go!".
  • While in a video production program at her high school, Kristin produced the first ever full-length animated cartoon by a high school student. It was called 'The Board Brothers,' a cartoon following the antics of four skate boarding buddies; Robbie, Mikey, and brothers; Jason and Todd. The cartoon ran just over a minute (the time specified to be considered full-length), and consisted of 53 hand painted cells, and 13 hand drawn backgrounds, all done by Kristin during a six week school semester. The final cartoon was edited together by Kristin after having recorded voice overs from fellow male classmates. When shown on the end of the semester school program, it was an instant hit, and local news outlets ran stories on Kristin for the accomplishment.
  • Kristin has a collection of over 300 Breyer horse models that she began collecting as a child.
  • Kristin can tie a knot in a cherry stem using only her tongue. "It's a fun party trick, I suppose. Never fails to impress!".
  • Kristin considers herself a bit of a nerd. "I like sci-fi, things like Rod Serling's 'The Twilight Zone,' old 'Star Trek' episodes, classic black and white films, everything 'Star Wars,' and movies like 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' 'The Labyrinth,' 'The Dark Crystal, and 'Lord of the Rings.' I also like to read and enjoy gardening, antiquing, live theater, and visiting museums and art galleries.".
  • Kristin met her husband Shawn in 1998. Their first date was to see the movie 'Titanic.'.
  • At the age of thirteen, Kristin was fortunate enough to be at Crazy Horse Memorial Mountain on the birthday of Ruth, wife of the mountain's sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski. She stood beside Ruth while watching a rare night blast on the mountain done in Ruth's honor, and listened to her tell stories about the sculptor, their family, and Crazy Horse himself. "It is, and will always remain, one of the greatest experiences of my life!".
  • Kristin is a professional muralist and has painted several commercial and residential murals around her community. She also creates building renderings for contractors.
  • Kristin, while never having been a cigarette smoker, does admit to enjoying a cigar on occasion.
