Producer Will Packer is teasing the Girls Trip sequel and recently revealed he has a script for a follow-up film.

While appearing on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Packer said that a sequel to the 2017 comedy is in the works.

“We actually are looking at doing an exotic locale — I can’t reveal it right now, but I do have a script for the first time,” Packer told host Andy Cohen after a fan asked if the sequel would take place at the AfroFuture musical festival in Ghana.

He continued: “Girls Trip is happening. Girls Trip 2. Bringing back all the ladies. And we’re going to add maybe some new ladies.”

Packer teased that the Girls Trip cast, which includes Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah, all would return.

Chicago – It wouldn’t be a Jason Statham film if in it he was just fixing cars. In “The Mechanic,” his profession is fixing people. And by fixing, like “The Transporter” he’s again cracking skulls.

But if you’re going to ask audiences to buy into a remake of the 1972 film by the same name with Charles Bronson originating Jason Statham’s role as Arthur Bishop, a film needs to make it less obvious that it’s just modernizing a 1970s flick for the purposes of making new money on a preexisting script.

While “The Mechanic” takes a page from all other hitman movies and employs every trick in the contract killer book we’ve already seen, the one redeeming difference is Statham’s inner dialogue and his cool, calculated demeanor. Obviously inspired by the 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from director Tobe Hooper, Mask Maker (aka Maskerade) follows a young couple who purchases a 19th century plantation home and invites friends up for the weekend to celebrate. As they dig up the mystery surrounding the death of the former residents, it becomes apparent that the plantation home’s former owners have not left, and the unlucky youths suddenly find themselves running for their lives!
