Ahead of the UK Premiere of the musical based on the Bollywood blockbuster Shah Rukh Khan, star of the Aditya Chopra-directed historic blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (Ddlj), made a surprise visit to the London rehearsal room of Come Fall in Love – The Ddlj Musical. This new stage adaptation of the beloved 1995 Hindi romantic film, in which Khan starred as Raj and Kajol as Simran, is set to make its UK premiere at Manchester Opera House from 29 May to 21 June 2025.

Come Fall in Love – The Ddlj Musical is directed by Aditya Chopra, the original director of the record-breaking, award-winning Hindi-language film. Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood megastar whose 1995 romantic blockbuster “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (Ddlj) redefined Indian cinema, made an unannounced appearance at the London rehearsals for “Come Fall in Love — The Ddlj Musical.”

The stage adaptation of the landmark Hindi-language film, which remains the longest-running title in Indian cinema history (playing continuously in Mumbai since 1995), is set for its U.K. premiere at Manchester Opera House running May 29 through June 21.

The musical, directed by the film’s original helmer Aditya Chopra, reimagines the beloved romance that first paired Khan with actress Kajol as the characters Raj and Simran. In the stage version, set across the U.K. and India, Jena Pandya stars as Simran opposite Ashley Day as Rog (the Raj-inspired character).

“Meeting Shah Rukh Khan and having him in the rehearsal room was such an honor,” Pandya said. “He was so generous with his time and support for the show.

In a historic moment for the Indian music industry, over 25 renowned artists, including Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Sameer Anjaan, Prasoon Joshi, Salim- Sulaiman, Shaan, Lalit Pandit, Anand- Milind, Papon ,Aruna Sairam, Manan Shah , Anusha Mani ,Shweta Mohan, Hariharan and Raju Singh, launched “Goongoonalo,” India’s first artist-owned cultural app. The grand event took place at the Studio Theatre, Jio World, Bkc, Bandra East, Mumbai.

Goongoonalo is a digital platform created by artists for artists. It is dedicated not only to music but also to poetry, storytelling, and other creative expressions. The app features original content, unreleased classics, mentorship sessions, masterclasses, jam sessions, open mics, and direct fan interactions.

Founding members include Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Prasoon Joshi, Sameer Anjaan, Vishal Dadlani, Amit Trivedi, and others. The app was developed by technology expert Sridhar Ranganathan, with Sherley Singh serving as CEO.

Salman Khan is that superstar who delivered one of the biggest musical blockbusters of Hindi Cinema with his debut itself. In 1989, when Maine Pyar Kiya released, the songs became chartbusters and helped the film sail in a huge way! Sp Bala became the voice for the superstar henceforth. Mumbai, April 28 (Ians) Actor-choreographer Raghav Juyal, who was recently seen in the film ‘Kill’, has urged people to not damage the environment by littering around.

The actor-choreographer recently took to his Instagram and shared a video in which he expressed his concern over littered plastic and beer bottles near a waterfall in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun. The video has now gone viral on social media.

The video shows him lashing out at the locals who allegedly littered the place. He can be seen standing in thigh-deep water in front of the waterfall and holding a plastic bottle which he found near the waterfall, as he spoke to the camera.

He said that he heard locals are littering the place and requested them to stop doing it.

Mumbai, March 3 (Ians) ‘Kanpur ka Tarana’ Vaibhav Gupta has lifted the coveted trophy of the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 14’. The trophy came with a cheque of Rs 25 lakh and a ‘Hot and Techy’ Brezza car.

Vaibhav was one of the six finalists, who included Shubhadeep Das Chowdhury, Ananya Pal, Adya Mishra, Piyush Panwar and Anjana Padmanabhan.

Shubhadeep and Piyush were declared the first and second runners-up, and they went back home with a trophy and a cheque of Rs 5 lakh each. Ananya was the third runner-up, which entitled her to Rs 3 lakh, besides a trophy.

Actor Shahid Kapoor has shared how the song ‘Dhan Te Nan’ helped him prepare for his role as ‘Guddu’ in the film ‘Kaminey’, saying it gave him an understanding of what he had to do in the movie.
