The 10-episode series debuted Sept. 16 and concluded what is now its final season Nov. 18.

Based on Dan Brown’s international bestselling thriller “The Lost Symbol,” the series follows the early adventures of young Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.

NBC will give the pilot of Peacock original drama series Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol a linear sampling.

The broadcast network will air the first episode of the mystery thriller, which is based on The Da Vinci Code author’s 2009 novel, at 10 p.m. Monday, November 8. It will replace a repeat of Ordinary Joe that previously was planned.

It marks the first time that NBC has aired an episode of a Peacock original on its linear schedule. The series originally was developed for NBC as Langdon and moved to the streamer late in the development process so it won’t be too much of a tonal departure for the broadcast network.

The move is made to give the 10 -part series, which debuted on the NBCU streamer on September 16, more exposure ahead of its season finale.

Get to dreamcasting a younger Tom Hanks, because NBC has given a pilot order to Langdon, which is about the earlier adventures of the code-cracking hero from The Da Vinci Code and Dan Brown’s other bestselling Robert Langdon novels.

Based on Brown’s The Lost Symbol — which technically was the third Robert Langdon book — the prequel series will nonetheless follow the early adventures of the famed Harvard symbologist, who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.

The third season of the “Scream” reboot is finally happening — but it’s airing on VH1 instead of it’s original home at MTV. VH1 released the first look trailer today, and announced that the three-night event will kick off on July 8.

From executive producer Queen Latifah, the third season features Academy Award nominee Mary J. Blige, Grammy Award winner Tyga, Cj Wallace (“Notorious”), Keke Palmer (“Akeelah and the Bee”) and model and actress Paris Jackson.

ABC has canceled freshman dramas “Inhumans,” “Deception,” “The Crossing,” and “Kevin Probably Saves the World” after one season each.

“Inhumans” starred Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung as Karnak, Ellen Woglom as Louise, Sonya Balmores as Auran and Mike Moh as Triton. Henry Ian Cusick guest stars as Dr. Evan Declan.

The series, which was a Marvel and IMAX project, was co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios. It was executive produced by Scott Buck, Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

“Deception” centered on magician Cameron Black (Jack Cutmore-Scott) who, once ostracized from the world of illusions due to a scandalous car accident that left a woman dead, used his skills in the art of deception to aid the FBI in catching elusive criminals.

ABC is not moving forward with a second season of drama series The Crossing.

The Crossing premiered April 2 with American Idol as a lead-in, but that episode of the revived singing-competition series happened to match a series-low demo rating for a regular telecast. Post-Idol, the midseason drama managed to eke out a win in the 10 Pm hour with a 1.0 and 5.45 million viewers. It outperformed same night last year for ABC by double digits but fell short of previous week’s The Good Doctor wrapper and its season average, though that still left it ABC’s second-most-watched Monday 10 Pm debut, behind Doctor, in nearly three years.
