Bruce Crossey is a South African voice actor and writer. He is best known for his role as Lord Levi in the 9th season of the English dub of The Guardians of Carcosa (2013), as well as for providing the English voice for Donnie Yen in the African release of the action film Raging Fire (2021). Outside of these projects, he has provided voices for over 600 episodes of television across more than 20 different series including The Legend of Nezha (2003) and Falling Into Your Smile (2021), as well as for feature films such as Shock Wave 2 (2020) and Once Upon A Time (2017).
Bruce made his directorial debut in 2022 with The Suspended Man (2022), which he also wrote and produced. Narrated by Oscar Nominee Eric Roberts, The Suspended Man (2022) went on to have a successful international film festival run, before finally announcing it's African arrival as an official selection in the continent's most prestigious film festival: The Joburg Film Festival (2023).
Ultimately driven by his passion for Africa, it's people, and wildlife, Bruce holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Pretoria, and is working towards completing his PhD in Zoology. An avid photographer who has received a nomination for Africa Geographic's Wildlife Photographer of the Year (online 2016), his wildlife images have graced the pages of various popular publications and coffee table books, including; Kruger Magazine, Kruger Self-Drive (Second Edition), Vulpro's Magnificent Vultures of Africa, Junto Magazine, and the cover of the American Society of Mammalogist's flagship publication: Journal of Mammalogy.
When not in the field studying Africa's wildlife, taking photographs, or making films, Bruce can be found indulging his inner geek through his show What's Popping! (2019) ; where he has partnered with companies such as Disney Africa, Warner Bros. South Africa, United International Pictures, and Comic Con Africa to conduct celebrity interviews, and cover international film premieres and events.
