Bridget Gray is an actress and a 5 time Grand Slam Poetry Champion. She has had guest starring television roles and has been a featured poet on NBC, CBS, MTV, BET, TV One, and she brought the house to their feet, receiving one of the longest standing ovations in HBO "Def Poetry Jam" history.

The underground success of her poetry and music C.D.'s (Shades of Gray and Self Love) soon got her noticed by the neo-soul and conscious Hip Hop scene. It wasn't long before she was opening for artists such as John Legend, The Black Eyed Peas, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and Nas, just to name a few.

She has extensively toured the nation gracing over 1000 stages thus far, performing at multiple festivals, as a keynote speaker for several conferences, and as a regular entertainer/educator at hundreds of universities and colleges, across the U.S. from Princeton to the UCLA. Her poetry has been published in a variety of anthologies and textbooks and her work has been studied in classrooms all over the world. In her time between appearances she also managed to produce, write and star in 3 short films, including the award winning film "My Letter to Hip Hop" based on her groundbreaking poem.

Even if you have never seen her live before you may have heard her speak. Bridget has lent her voice to 66 national radio ads. Eventually she became the host of her own short run syndicated radio program under the alias name of "DJ Sypher 1". Her show aired in 10 major cities, on mainstream Radio One Hip Hop and R&B stations across the U.S. Including, New York's HOT 97 and L.A.'s The Beat.

With a passionate creative spirit and an artistic mind such as hers, you have to wonder, what will Bridget Gray do next?

    • Quotes
I am a deity. I am a sanctuary. I am the earth and the sky. I am the answer to the question why? I am the conscious and subconscious minds intertwine. I am what you feel deep in your spine. I am a woman.
