The Braxtons will continue to share their lives with television viewers as We TV has renewed the reality series for a second season.

Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and Ms. Evelyn are set to return this fall, and filming for Season 2 is underway.

Braxton Family Values ran for seven seasons...

The Braxtons are returning to We TV — two years after the death of Traci Braxton, a singer, actress and TV/radio personality who appeared on all seven seasons of their previous series for the AMC Networks-owned cabler, “Braxton Family Values.”

“The Braxtons” will feature remaining family members Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar and matriarch Ms. Evelyn, reuniting “to share new love, success, heartbreak, ongoing family dynamics and so much more,” We TV announced Tuesday during AMC Networks’ portion of the Television Critics Assn.’s Winter 2024 press tour.

According to We TV, the new series will chronicle the Braxtons during the pandemic quarantine, and chronicle the aftermath of the death of Traci, who died at 50 in 2022 after a battle with esophageal cancer.

Braxton Family Values premiered on WeTV in 2011 and focused on Braxton siblings Toni, Traci, Towanda, Tamar, and Trina, and their mother, Evelyn Braxton. Toni, being the most well-known of the siblings, was the initial focus, as she was in the process of reviving her R&b career. The show became a quick hit among WeTV viewers, and soon, Toni was not the only star in the spotlight. The second youngest of the siblings, Tamar, quickly became a fan favorite thanks to her large personality and hilarious catchphrases. The series led to spin-offs for Tamar, including her show with her then-husband, Vincent Herbert, which was aptly titled Tamar & Vince. Braxton Family Values was a launch pad for Tamar’s solo music career, and she released two albums during the series' run. Siblings Traci and Trina also worked on solo projects during the show.

When Braxton Family Values ended in 2020, it seemed as if the series would never be seen again. The series premiered in 2011 and quickly became a hit amongs the viewers. The series followed sisters Toni, Traci, Towanda, Tamar,Trina, and matriarch Evelyn Braxton and focused on their careers and familial life. Fans loved watching the antics of the five siblings, and the series launched Tamar Braxton into the spotlight. Her outrageous quips, reads, and tantrums made great television, and for a while, it seemed as if WeTV had found its Kardashian equivalent. The sisters' impromptu songs became highlights for viewers and non-viewers alike, and soon enough, the series had made its mark on the pop culture zeitgeist.

American singer Tamar Braxton had a health emergency amid the holiday season. She shared an update on Instagram, telling her followers that she was rushed to the hospital after spending some time with her friends ahead of Christmas.

“This isn’t an attention post… this is an Attention post,” she wrote, reports People magazine. “Literally I was with my best friends @normankgyamfi and @wardellmalloy shopping and doing Christmas fun s— and the Very Next Day I had to be taken to the hospital by Ambulance, needed oxygen cause I thought God was taking me home cause I could not breathe and my chest was on Fire!!”

Braxton, 45, continued: “I was taken to @northsidehosp and was met by the Best nurses and doctors including @therealdrjackie to find out what’s wrong Yall, I have the Flu and let me tell u it’s worse than Covid in my opinion,” she explained.

Braxton is developing a cooking format with Dorothy Toran and Leslie Farrell’s Lauren Grace Media. Cooking With Ms. E, which is inspired by her upcoming cookbook, will see her give viewers an inside look into one of her favorite places – her kitchen.

The series will also see Braxton joined by a number of guests in the kitchen as she bakes up recipes, including her famous buffins – a cross between a muffin and a biscuit.
