As the SAG-AFTRA strike enters its second month with no end in sight, joining the WGA strike that began in May, some of Hollywood’s biggest stars have been taking to picket lines to support the unions.

As Deadline reports, a fresh round of protests are expected to take place in the coming days outside studios in L.A., New York and Chicago, in addition to outside Comic-Con in San Diego.

Among the stars spotted recently were Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller, who appeared on the picket line together in New York City, holding picket signs and sporting “SAG-AFTRA Stront” t-shirts.

Also seen picketing were actors Patricia Clarkson, Clark Gregg, Christian Slater, Debra Messing and more.

During the 76th annual Tony Awards, returning host Ariana DeBose addressed the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike with studios during what normally would have been a traditional song-and-dance-filled opening monologue. Instead, a planned performance written by Lin-Manuel Miranda was scrapped while the ceremony was allowed to go forward with live performances of nominated musicals and the handing out of awards, but with no scripted material.

DeBose opened the show by opening up a blank script, which appeared to be no problem for the seasoned performer who danced her way on-stage to a jazzy medley of pre-existing Broadway hits, reimagined and newly orchestrated, thus not crossing the picket line of script writing, or rather, lyric writing.

Macy Schmidt and Benjamin Rauhala constructed and arranged the medley after Miranda pulled the song he was working on for the opening number, in solidarity with the WGA strike.

Machine Gun Kelly is hitting the red carpet alone.

The singer turned actor arrived at the New York City premiere of Peacock’s “Bupkis” Thursday night without a date.

He appeared to attend the event to support his close friend Pete Davidson, who produces and stars in the series which is loosely based on his life.

Kelly dressed for the occasion in a red tank top, colourful flower patterned pants, and his hair in a high ponytail.

Exclusive: Sam Mendes, the Oscar and Tony award-winning director, has chosen three London theater stars — Michael Balogun (National Theatre Live: Death of England-Delroy), Hadley Fraser (Donmar Theatre’s Coriolanus), and Nigel Lindsay (Chichester Festival Theatre’s Woman In Mind) — to bring his much-garlanded production of The Lehman Trilogy back into the West End. That’s following triumphant runs at the UK’s National Theatre, the Park Avenue Armory and Broadway, and a phenomenal 16-week, sold-out run at London’s Piccadilly Theatre in 2019.

The actors will portray the Bavarian-born Lehman brothers, Emanuel, Mayer, and Henry, who settled in Alabama as cotton merchants, a springboard to what was to become what Balogun termed “a giant machine” on Wall Street. Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley, and Ben Miles originally performed the multiple roles of the Lehman brothers and their descendants — male and female, old and young — in London and New York.

Melissa and Joe Gorga put their family drama on the back burner to celebrate a very special occasion over the weekend.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars marked their 18th anniversary this weekend, and they honored the occasion in Montauk.

Melissa shared photos from their stylish outing as she rocked a tiny yellow crop top and jeans. In her post, the mom-of-three noted that 13 of her 18 years of marriage have been on reality TV. Despite it all, the twosome was still going strong.

The same can’t be said for Joe and Melissa’s relationship with Teresa Giudice — Joe’s only sister and Melissa’s sister-in-law.
