Benjamin Pollack is the co-owner of Tomlinson Management Group, a distinguished boutique beauty agency in Malibu, California, and a multi award-winning filmmaker with an MFA in Filmmaking from the esteemed American Film Institute.
Starting out as a film editor under the mentorship of producer John Daly, known for his work on blockbuster hits like Terminator and Last Platoon, Benjamin quickly rose through the ranks to become an award-winning director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. His talents have been recognized far and wide, with each role earning him a slew of prestigious awards.
His original screenplay, "What Ever Happened to Jonny Faith," stands as a testament to his storytelling prowess, having garnered over 30 festival awards. Not content with just writing, Benjamin took the helm to direct, produce, and edit the film adaptation, which went on to receive multiple accolades including Best Short Film numerous times, Best Director multiple times, Best Narrative Short, Best Short of the Season, Platinum Award, Award of Excellence, Best Producer, Outstanding Achievement Award, Best Male Director, Best Indie Short Film, Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and multiple Best Actor Awards.
In September of 2024, What Ever Happened to Jonny Faith swept the Independent Shorts Awards with Best Actress, Debbie Pollack, Best Actor, Frank Noon, Best First Time Director, Benjamin Pollack, and Best Indie Short.
In 2019, Benjamin showcased his versatility with the release of the multi-award-winning documentary "Out Of Malibu," offering a poignant portrayal of the community's resilience during the Woolsey Fire. Featuring a captivating soundtrack from acclaimed artists such as Miley Cyrus and Joe Walsh, the documentary further solidified Benjamin's reputation as a filmmaker of note.
But Benjamin's talents extend beyond the silver screen. He is also a multi-award-winning music video director, having collaborated with esteemed artists including Rusty Anderson (Paul McCartney's Guitarist), Garry Beers and Ciaran Gribbin (INXS) Mike Krompass (Smash Mouth) Daniel Ash (Bauhaus / Love and Rockets) Matt Zarley and many others.
In addition to his cinematic achievements, Benjamin, alongside his former partner Zalman King, created a successful European television show that enjoyed a remarkable eight-season run. With Benjamin at the helm, directing over 90 shows and serving as show-runner for four seasons, the series left an indelible mark on the television landscape.
