Despite its initial release in February 2024 and less than stellar reviews, William Eubank's Land of Bad found newfound fame when the film made its Netflix debut on July 18, 2024. The action thriller even managed to claim a spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 list during the week spanning July 22 to July 28. The film has a star-studded cast, with Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe taking on central roles. The actors are joined by Hemsworth's brother, Luke, alongside Milo Ventimiglia, Ricky Whittle, Chuka Ikogwe, and Daniel MacPherson.

Land of Bad, although another addition to the highly saturated genre of war/military action thrillers, is Eubank's first venture into a purely action-centered film.

There's something about low-to-mid-budget action movies and Netflix that just seem to go very well together. Although it was barely seen when it came out in theaters on February 16, the movie, which stars Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth, has a rip-roaring story with a great cast. And now it's come to Netflix for your viewing pleasure.

Critics were only lukewarm on Land of Bad; it got a 65% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it has a 94% audience score with over 250 ratings. Obviously, those who've seen the film have enjoyed it. That's because, despite the stupid title, Land of Bad is a great action movie. Let's dive into why Land of Bad is such a fantastic film.

The AMC series is set in a dystopian future with humanity in ruins because of wars, and it follows the story of Sunny, a fierce warrior who rescues a teenager with a bounty on his head. The release date for Russell Crowe’s upcoming horror movie has been announced, which will see the Oscar-winning actor in the center of another exorcism story. This comes after more than a year since he starred in Sony Pictures’ The Pope’s Exorcist, which was based on the experiences of real-life priest Father Gabriele Amorth.
