‘The Real Bros of Simi Valley’ Returns As A Movie For Roku

Exclusive: The Real Bros of Simi Valley, a parody of The Real Housewives and Jersey Shore, is going feature-length.

Roku has greenlit a new feature The Real Bros of Simi Valley: High School Reunion, a spinoff of the series that previously aired on Facebook Watch.

The Real Bros of Simi Valley, created by Jimmy Tatro and Christian Pierce, started as a web series on Tatro’s YouTube page before moving to Facebook after Tatro broke out as one of the stars of Netflix’s American Vandal. It aired two seasons on the short-lived video service, running for a total of three seasons, ending in 2020.

Now the gang is back with Tatro, Nick Colletti, Tanner Petulla, Cody Ko reprising their roles.

With the 10-year high school reunion around the corner, Xander (Tatro) and his squad embark on a journey to become the dopest versions of themselves in time to flex on all of their old classmates.

In today’s TV news roundup, “The Bay” will move to Popstar TV, and Facebook Watch announced the mid-season premiere date for “The Real Bros of Simi Valley” Season 3.

Dates

The third season of “The Real Bros of Simi Valley” will resume Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. onFacebook Watch. The season picks up from Xander (Jimmy Tatro) and Molly (Colleen Donovan) planning and dreaming of their bachelor and bachelorette parties. In the upcoming episodes, Xander’s bachelor party kicks off in Cabo, while the girls run into trouble on their way to Vegas. Watch a trailer below.

Programming

“The Bay” will move to flagship network Popstar! TV and release six new episodes on Sept. 1. For the next three weeks, new episodes will premiere every Tuesday at 3 p.m., leading up to a two-part 10-year anniversary special on Sept. 15. In that special, Kristos Andrews, Mary Beth Evans and Jade Harlow will relive the Emmy-winning series’ classic moments.

Jimmy Tatro’s The Real Bros of Simi Valley has a new home. Facebook Watch has landed Season 2 of the comedy that follows four best friends on a journey to figure out their lives now that they’ve graduated high school — 10 years ago.

The show started as a project on his personal YouTube channel, and the 10-episode second run of Real Bros launches November 30 on the social network’s video platform.

Tatro, who broke out in Season 1 of Netflix’s true-crime spoof American Vandal, directs, exec produces, co-writes and stars in Real Bros of Simi Valley. Tanner Petulla, Nick Colletti and Cody Ko co-star, and Colleen Donovan, Maddy Whitby, Peter Gilroy, Monette Moio, Monica Joy Sherer, Eric Walbridge, and Christian Pierce round out the supporting cast.

Pierce also is co-writer and is an exec producer alongside Tatro, Mike Rosenstein and Studio 71’s Dan Weinstein, Michael Schreiber, Adam Boorstin and Anjuli Hinds.
