While there are plenty of valid criticisms that can be applied to Zack Snyder’s solo Superman film, Man of Steel, those details have been harped on by comic book fans for the better part of the last decade. With Snyder's recently making comments regarding his treatment of Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice -- which arguably misses the point of the character entirely -- it's worth taking a look at his initial treatment of Superman to highlight a few of the ways he got that character right.

It’s easy to forget that in the uneven Man of Steel, there are quite a few elements that honor the Superman legacy and do the first modern superhero justice.
