A decade ago, the writing and directing duo of Aaron Hann and Mario Miscione drew inspiration from the classic 1957 drama 12 Angry Men while making the sci-fi psychological thriller Circle, which ended up gathering a cult following after it was released through the Netflix streaming service. Now, Deadline reports that a sequel titled Circles is now filming in Buffalo, New York!

If you need a refresher, Circle had the following synopsis: In a massive, mysterious chamber, fifty strangers awaken to find themselves trapped with no memory of how they got there. Organized in an inward-facing circle and unable to move, they quickly learn that every two minutes one of them must die… executed by a strange device in the center of the room. At first the attacks seem random, but soon the strangers realize that they, as a group, have the power to decide who will be the next to be killed.

“Revival” is the new zombie series in town and it’s worth the time.

The new Syfy series adapts the comic series hailing from Tim Seeley and Mike Norton from Image Comics. It follows a small town cop who has to juggle a murder investigation with the dead also coming back to life – and that includes her victim.

Revival is set in a rural Wisconsin town as a mysterious event known as the “Revival Day” takes place. The Revival Day sees the recently dead mysteriously coming back to life with no memories of how they died. It follows the local police officer Dana Cypress as she investigates a murder, which makes her suspicious of everyone from the living to those who have just come back to life.

Revival has its premiere date. The new supernatural drama will arrive on Syfy next month, and the network has released a trailer teasing the new series.

Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen star in the series, which follows the events in a small town after the dead come back to life. Steven Ogg, Phil Brooks (Cm Punk), Gia Sandhu, Katherine King So, Maia Jae, Nathan Dales, Mark Little, Glen Gould, Lara Jean Chorostecki, and Conrad Coates also appear in the series.

NBCUniversal has announced that Resident Alien Season 4 will premiere on Friday, June 6 at 11 p.m. Et/Pt on both USA and Syfy, while the series premiere of the comic adaptation Revival debuts on Thursday, June 12 at 10 p.m. on Syfy.

The episodes from both series will be available to stream on Peacock one week after they air on USA and Syfy.

Based on the Dark Horse comics, Resident Alien follows a crash-landed alien named Harry and his life on planet Earth. The fourth season starts with Harry and his baby, Bridget, stuck in prison on the Grey Moonbase, while a shape-shifting Alien called a Mantid has taken over his body on Earth, passing himself off as the real Harry Vanderspeigle.

Harry manages to escape the Greys and arrives back on Earth for a showdown with the Mantid Alien, but soon finds he may not have what he needs to finish the job.

The dead come back to life in “Revival,” but this isn’t a zombie series. Syfy is bringing the comic book adaptation to the small screen, and the official trailer has arrived.

Directors Jen & Sylvia Soska (Rabid, American Mary) bring you back into the universe of George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead with Tubi Original Festival of the Living Dead, and Bloody Disgusting has been exclusively provided with the official trailer today.

Festival of the Living Dead will bite into Tubi on April 5. The new zombie film is set decades after Night of the Living Dead, centered on the grandchildren of that film’s main character.

The Soska Sisters tweet, “The film is a sequel to Romero’s masterpiece original Night of the Living Dead – the story follows Ben’s grandchildren 55 years after the incident.”

Ben was of course played by late actor Duane Jones in Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, who bravely battled the shambling undead before being killed by the film’s human villains.

We’ve learned this week that Festival of the Living Dead will bite into Tubi on April 5.

Amanda Seyfried reflected on being cast as a mother at the Berlin Film Festival press conference for her new film “Seven Veils,” saying that “it seems like once I popped out a baby, I was just playing mothers.” However, the mom of two does feel the roles she’s been given have “become way richer.”

Atom Egoyan’s “Seven Veils,” which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this week is built around this year’s Canadian Opera Company production of Richard Strauss’s “Salome,” which Egoyan also directed.

Exclusive: Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Camren Bicondova (Gotham) will topline Festival of the Living Dead, a Tubi film inspired by the classic 1968 zombie pic Night of the Living Dead co-written and directed by George A. Romero.

In the new horror film directed by Jen & Sylvia Soska it has been over 50 years since Night of the Living Dead’s original zombie attack and the horrific event has become the subject of morbid nostalgia. Looking for fun, Ash (Moore) and her friends attend the Festival of the Living Dead, but it is disrupted when a blast of radioactive space dust hits the festival and they must defend themselves or be devoured by the living dead.
