Impact Collaborative Opens L.A. Office
Image
Impact Collaborative, the New York-based network of non-profits, has headed west and opened a Los Angeles office at the Preserve in Hollywood.

As part of its expansion, it is launching Social Impact Entertainment Studio, with the aim of telling socially impactful stories and perhaps provide revenue streams for non-profit groups. The ambition is to help partially fill the void left by Participant Media, which shuttered last year after 20 years of socially conscious programming. Among the projects it has in the pipeline is a doc feature from filmmaker Ben Levin and producer Multihouse focusing on the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey team as it prepares for a rematch with rival Canada in 2026 in Milan, Italy.

To help fullfill its ambitions, it is nearing completion on a physical soundstage in The Preserve LA, which will host a number of podcasts and is aiming for a fall ribbon cutting.

“L.A. is world-renowned...

Why Was ‘Craig of the Creek’ Really Canceled?
Image
Unfortunately for fans, Cartoon Network's hit animated series Craig of the Creek is officially coming to an end. After six years and six seasons of mysterious adventures, diverse characters, and exploring friendship, the beloved show that resonated with kids and adults alike will premiere its grand finale in Jan. 2025.

Created by Steven Universe writers Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, Craig of the Creek follows titular 10-year-old cartographer Craig Williams, voiced by Hero Mode's Philip Solomon. Alongside friends Kelsey (Noël Wells) and J.P. (H. Michael Croner), Craig embarks on fantastic expeditions within the wild wilderness of a nearby creek in the fictional Balitmore-dc suburb of Herkleton, Maryland. Their fun-filled escapades are only limited by their imaginations, as the simple creek becomes their playground — embodying the spirit of childhood whimsy and lifelong friendship.

Selena Gomez And Benny Blanco's Relationship History
Image
Selena Gomez's relationship with music producer Benny Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Levin, began back in 2015 when he worked on her Revival album. They would work together again, along with Puerto Rican record producer Tainy, and J Balvin to collaborate on the hit single "I Can't Get Enough." The song's accompanying music video featured Selena singing on a larger-than-life bed with Benny dressed as a teddy bear.

In 2023, Benny and Selena would collaborate again when he produced her single "Single Soon." However, fans had no idea that the pair were more than just friends. By the end of that year, they hard launched their relationship.

Is Craig Of The Creek Over? The Cartoon Network Show's Fate Explained
Image
Warner Bros. Discovery cutbacks likely led to Craig of the Creek's cancellation, with episodes slashed in season 5. The show's diverse representation, LGBTQ+ characters, and inclusive storytelling earned accolades and fan admiration. Despite the end of the series, Craig of the Creek lives on through a movie prequel and spinoff show, keeping its spirit alive.

The animated series debuted on Cartoon Network in February 2018, offering a refreshing take on childhood adventures, but the loved-by-adults kid series Craig of the Creek could be over. The series follows Craig Williams and his friends, Kelsey and J.P., as they explore the wilds of a local creek in a fictional suburb of Baltimore. This setting becomes a canvas for their imaginations, where tree forts and bike ramps reign supreme. As a hub of creativity and freedom, the creek symbolizes the essence of childhood exploration and the unbreakable bonds of friendship.

The show stands out...

Craig Before the Creek Review
Image
Initially premiering on Cartoon Network in the late 2010s, Craig of the Creek is a fan-favorite animated series that has now spawned its own prequel film, Craig Before the Creek. Craig of the Creek thrives as a short-form series with 11-minute-long segments, but as a feature film, the cute characters and calming animation style are not enough to warrant the 90-minute runtime. The plot strives to be grand, initially drawing viewers in but eventually reveals that it doesn't have much to say. For young fans of the series, this film may be a fun explanation of how Craig found the kid utopia by the creek, but for older audiences, Craig Before the Creek may prove to be a bit of a bore.

Craig Before the Creek depicts the title character moving to Herkleton, where the series takes place. Feeling sad about leaving his friends from his old town behind, Craig,...

The Rookie (2018)
Chenford experienced some challenges while Lucy went undercover on The Rookie Season 5 Episode 21.

Also, did Celina's upcoming date have you happy or worried? See what our round table team has to say...

Lucy shut down the undercover operation, but do you think Frank will be back in touch? Would you like to see him return?

Jasmine: I definitely think Frank will be back. Otherwise, I don't see the point of introducing him and him and Lucy connecting only to end the op abruptly.

The Rookie loves to bring back people, and with Rosalind gone and Elijah down, etc., they'll need to have some new people to step in for a rotation.

Denis: I didn't think about it, but now that it has been brought up,...

Why Ending Cartoon Network's Craig Of The Creek Is A Huge Mistake
Image
2022 has been a devastating year for the world of animation. The Oscars kicked things off by relegating animated feature films to nothing more than children's fodder, Netflix is slowly disintegrating its entire animation department, an animated voice-over legend left this mortal plane far too soon, some of the best animated films of the year were unceremoniously dropped on streaming instead of being given the opportunity to shine in theaters, and HBO Max has absolutely obliterated its animation catalog, recreating the very problem that Cartoon Network was created to solve. Animators are continuing to fight for fair wages and better work environments while the industry as a whole continues to treat the medium with the same modicum of respect given to a wet newspaper.

During the HBO Max Animation Purge of 2022, which saw beloved titles like "Infinity Train," "Ok K.O.! – Let's Be Heroes," and "Close Enough" wiped from the platform,...

Legacies Series Finale Promo: How Will It End?
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
It's been a turbulent road for The CW's Legacies, but it's hard to believe the series wraps up for good in less than a week.

Legacies Season 4 Episode 20 has a big task:

It has to wrap up the series in a satisfying fashion while also saying goodbye to The Vampire Diaries universe.

This journey for many of us fans began in 2009 with the original series.

Thankfully, the series finale teases a closure-filled affair as the Salvatore School students decide what to do next.

The battle with Ken came to a grinding halt on Legacies Season 4 Episode 19, and all that's left is for the students to process the events.

"Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), Mg (Quincy Fouse), Kaleb (Chris Lee), Jed (Ben Levin), Cleo (Omono Okojie) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) reflect on recent events and what comes next for each of them," reads the official description for "Just Don't Be A Stranger,...

Legacies fans were dealt a huge blow last month...

The CW postponed the final three episodes of Legacies Season 4...

and then the network canceled the series.

It was a shocking turn of events, and all we can do is tune into the beloved supernatural drama when it returns Thursday, June 2.

Now, the network has released three photos for Legacies Season 4 Episode 20, aka the series finale.

We see Hope at what looks to be an assembly at the school, spearheaded by Alaric.

Given that it sounds like the battle with Ken plays out on Legacies Season 4 Episode 19, it sounds like the series finale will very much be about the aftermath of it.

"Hope (Danielle Rose Russell), Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), Mg (Quincy Fouse), Kaleb (Chris Lee), Jed (Ben Levin), Cleo (Omono Okojie) and Alaric (Matthew Davis) reflect on recent events and what comes next for each of them," reads the official description...

Legacies Canceled as The Vampire Diaries Franchise Concludes on The CW
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
It's officially the end of the line for Legacies.

The CW announced Thursday that the Vampire Diaries and The Originals spinoff has been canceled after four seasons.

The series starred Danielle Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson in a role she originated on the final season of The Originals.

Legacies took place at the Salvatore School for the Young and the Gifted, and featured a cast of franchise veterans and new additions.

The school was the setting as the characters navigated their supernatural abilities, which also meant they had to decide whether to be good or evil.

Hope's arc was largely governed by her journey to become the Tribrid, which made her a vampire, a witch, and a werewolf.

The series also starred Aria Shahghasemi, Kaylee Bryant, Jenny Boyd, Quincy Fouse, Matt Davis, Chris Lee, Ben Levin, Leo Howard, and Omono Okojie.

Legacies Season 4 is currently averaging 760,000 total viewers and a...

Legacies: Final Episodes of Season 4 Delayed as Renewal Decision Looms
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
Legacies fans, we have some bad news...

You'll have to wait a little longer for the final three episodes of Legacies Season 4.

The CW's Milwaukee affiliate shared the mind-boggling news Tuesday afternoon.

Instead of continuing as planned with a new episodes Thursdays at 9 p.m, leading to a season finale on May, 26, the series has been pushed off the air until June 2.

The season finale is now set for June 16.

No reason has been given for this decision, but it isn't anything new for the series.

Legacies, more than any other CW shows in recent years, has been randomly delayed at the last minute, leaving fans wondering what will become of their favorite series.

All we can do is speculate about why this decision was made, and there are some possibilities.

The CW has yet to renew or cancel the series, and given that Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow both got the pink slip,...

Legacies Finale Spoilers: Is This Really the End?!
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
The CW has yet to renew or cancel Legacies, and we're growing more anxious about its prospects by the day.

Once upon a time, cancellations were rare on the network, but with the looming sale by Warner Bros. and Paramount, some shows are not making the cut.

More recently, Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow were both canceled, but we had to wait for weeks after their seasons wrapped for the formal decision.

Canceling a show before its season finale is a tough call, and it might make viewers bail on the remaining episodes, so we probably shouldn't expect a definite decision for a few weeks yet.

The network has dropped details about Legacies Season 4 Episode 20 -- the season finale -- and the episode marks Julie Plec's return to the series.

Plec was instrumental in bringing the series to life, having worked on both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

Image
On the heels of Cartoon Network’s “Craig of the Creek” Season 4 premiere on Monday, WarnerMedia Kids & Family has already renewed the animated show for a fifth season and ordered prequel film “Craig of the Creek: The Movie” and preschool spinoff series “Jessica’s Big Little World” to expand the program into a franchise.

All three Cartoon Network Studios-produced projects will be available on both cable channel Cartoon Network and streaming service HBO Max, with rollout plans for where the titles launch first to be announced at a later date.

“Craig of the Creek” follows the precocious Craig and his best friends Kelsey and J.P. as they transform everyday afternoons into extraordinary adventures through imaginative play at the neighborhood creek. Per Cartoon Network, Season 5, which will debut early next year, “delves deeper into the endless world of the Creek as Craig embarks on more journeys with friends new and old,...

Legacies: The CW Confirms New Midseason Premiere Date
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
The wait for the second half of Legacies Season 4 is considerably longer than planned.

The series was initially set for a Thursday, January 27 bow.

However, the network scrapped those plans a week ago, leaving the show without a return date.

Now, TV Line is reporting that the supernatural drama will resume Thursday, February 24.

No reason has been given for the longer-than-expected hiatus but is likely due to Covid-19.

Many TV shows have been taking longer breaks in production in response to the pandemic.

As for what we can expect from Legacies Season 4 Episode 10, the midseason premiere, the network shared the following:

"Cleo (Omono Okojie), Mg (Quincy Fouse) and Jed (Ben Levin) work together on an unusual mission," reads the official logline.

"Alaric (Matthew Davis), Landon (Aria Shahghasemi), and Ted (guest star Ben Geurens) figure out what is next for them."

"Meanwhile, an unexpected source takes Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) by surprise.

Legacies Midseason Return Postponed at The CW!
Matthew Davis, Peyton 'Alex' Smith, Kaylee Kaneshiro, Danielle Rose Russell, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, and Quincy Fouse in Since When Do You Speak Japanese? (2019)
The long wait for the back half of Legacies Season 4 just got longer.

KSiteTV is reporting that the planned January 27 premiere has been scrapped at The CW.

The outlet states that the show will now return "late February."

No reason has been given for the decision, but it's not difficult to speculate why the midseason debut has been delayed.

Many TV shows have announced they are postponing production this week amid rising Covid-19 cases.

Shows like Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, and The Rookie are just some of the shows to announce such a measure.

Star Trek: Picard, meanwhile, registered over 50 cases of Covid-19, with the show taking being brought to a halt.

It's possible The CW is taking the precautionary measure of delaying the return to ensure enough episodes are banked for later in the year.

The CW was forced to roll with a slate of acquired programming in fall 2020 because...

Legacies Midseason Premiere Spoilers: Is Lizzie a Heretic?

Lizzie Saltzman made a big decision on Legacies Season 4 Episode 9.

If you watch Legacies online, you know Hope murdered the witch in one of the most shocking scenes on the show to date.

Thankfully, Lizzie recognized that she could use a potential death to her advantage, dying with vampire blood in her system.

The first trailer for Legacies Season 4 Episode 10 is here, and it shows Lizzie revealing she will be a Heretic.

Things are never easy on this show, so there will probably be more to the tale than that.

The unusual mission is likely to do with the new...

Legacies Fall Finale Spoilers: Will Hope Outrun Aurora?
Rebecca Breeds
Legacies is throwing it all the way back to The Originals again.

Legacies Season 4 Episode 8 brought Rebecca Breeds back into the fold as Aurora de Martel, a villain from The Originals Season 3.

The milestone installment found Aurora tricking Hope into swapping bodies with her, and now, Hope is no longer the Tribrid.

Aurora's feud with the Mikaelsons stems back hundreds of years, and she's not the type of person to give up without a fight.

"Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) finds herself involved in a game of cat and mouse as Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) sets out to make things right," reads the official logline for Legacies Season 4 Episode 9.

The "cat and mouse" game is likely Aurora chasing her to try to get her own back for the torment she went through at the hands of the Mikaelsons.

We knew the day would come in which Hope would inherit her family's enemies,...
