The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a cryptid as “an animal (such as Sasquatch or the Loch Ness Monster) that has been claimed to exist but never proven to exist.”

Max, a former big-city reporter now writing for a paper in East Nowhere Maine reporter for a small-town newspaper somewhere in Maine comes across a police investigation of an animal attack. He’s suspicious of Sheriff Murdoch’s claim it was bear. Especially after a second attack claims the lives of a local woman and her dog. Enlisting the help of Harriet, the paper’s photographer he soon has evidence that whatever committed them is most definitely not a bear. And there’s a history of similar attacks dating back to the 1950s. A history that some people want covered up.

Watch the Trailer for Legions: "XYZ Films is proud to launch the trailer to Fabián Forte's Legions, which will land on North American VOD January 19th following an acclaimed festival run that included Sitges, Fantasia, and Fantaspoa. An unabashed love letter to Sam Raimi's Evil Dead series, this gory, hilarious, and heartwarming horror gem is the perfect way to start your 2023!

Prolific Argentinian filmmaker Fabián Forte’s newest film combines the best of his previous cinematic endeavors: the comedic writing and direction of his 2016 hit Dead Man Tells His OWN Tale is masterfully mixed with mystical horror of 2017's Terrified - which Forte contributed to - and once you add a dash of slapstick gore and a whole lot of heart, and you have Legions of fun!

A powerful sorcerer, Antonio Poyju (Germán De Silva), is locked away in an asylum, and wastes away in his imprisonment as evil,...

'The Killing of Jacob Marr' Movie Review
by Jason Lees, MoreHorror.com

Commitment. That’s the magic ingredient that can take a collection of shots and images and transform them into a film. Commitment to the idea, to the vision, and to the overall production. I’ve seen huge budgeted flicks with mind blowing effects that I don’t for a moment believe just fall apart on screen for me. And I’ve seen movies that cost less than a decent used car come out of nowhere and just own me.

Unfortunately, they’re pretty rare, and not due to any lack of talent out there, it just seems that the "no budgeter" has such an uphill battle when it comes to luck that finding a true success story is like finding that aforementioned ‘good’ used car.

“The Killing of Jacob Marr” is that winning lottery ticket. That gem sitting on the car lot. This little flick...

The Killing of Jacob Marr and Desensitization: A Movie Review
Director/writer: Brad Rego.

The Killing of Jacob Marr is a 221 films production, which released in October of this year (2010). The film was written, directed and produced by Brad Rego, with Rego saying of filmmaking: "the sick part is I can't wait to start working on another movie. I think I need help." of the film. This is an independent film made for a minscule budget that follows a standard kids-in-the-woods-with-serial-killer formula. Highlighting the horrors of horror filmmaking, there is lots of gore and icicle impalings to entertain fans of the genre.

This is a paint by numbers plotline, as several twenty-somethings venture out into the woods for relaxation and roasted marshmallows. Instead, they find a mysterious, and bruised girl, who shows an inability for piecing information together. But we know how this ends, right? Most of the youths find themselves on the sharper side of a large icicle, with...
