Arielle Friedman (she/her) is a first generation Colombian-American actress, director, writer and producer based in NYC. Arielle was a professional ballerina for five years, before transitioning into a career in film.
Most recently, Arielle had her feature film acting debut playing Vera in "Good Boy" a horror film that had its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival. "Good Boy" has been featured in online publications such as IndieWire, The Hollywood Reporter, and Deadline among others, and will be in theaters on October 3rd 2025. Arielle was the lead producer and also acted acted in the family drama "Unholy" opposite Tony-award winner Danny Burstein, Olivia Nikkanen and Jill Abramovitz. "Unholy" premiered at Sundance in 2025 in Shorts Block 1 and was also an official selection of SXSW, Palm Springs International Shorts Fest, Aspen Film Festival, HollyShorts, Frameline Film Festival, ReelAbilities and NFFTY, among others. Arielle also produced and starred in the horror comedy "Breadwinner" opposite Taylor Rosen, which was directed by Film Independent fellow Camila Grimaldi and written by Humanitas New Voices Fellow Nicole Lynn Cohen. "Breadwinner" recently screened at the Oscar qualifying film festival HollyShorts in their Midnight Madness block, and will be released on Short of the Week in October 2025. Arielle also executive produced and plays the role of "Cherub" in Ella Hunt's directorial debut music video, "Subway Trash''.
As a producer, Arielle co-founded Ser Nocturna, a Latinx-led production company specializing in narrative short films, documentaries, music videos, and feature films. Under her production banner, Arielle has produced over 10 award-winning narrative short films that have gone on to screen at Sundance, SXSW, The Tribeca Film Festival, Palm Springs International Shorts Fest, HollyShorts, Aspen Film Festival, Frameline, NewFest, Woodstock Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival and ReelAbilities, among others. Her work has also been featured on digital platforms such as IndieWire, The Hollywood Reporter, The Los Angeles Times, Directors Notes, No Film School, Short of the Week, and a forthcoming Vimeo Staff Pick. She has produced music videos for artists such as Sarah Kinsley and Ella Hunt, along with clients at Atlantic Records, Verve Forecast, and Mischief Management. She is currently in development for multiple feature films that she will star in and producer under her production company banner.
