The new WWII action thriller “Murder Company”, directed by Shane Dax Taylor, stars Kelsey Grammer as ‘General Haskel’ who enlists five misfit soldiers from different companies for a top-secret mission, releasing July 4, 2024 in theaters:
“…June, 1944. With the US invasion of Europe hanging in the balance, ‘Allied’ commanders issued a top-secret directive that would send six men behind enemy lines to assassinate a high-value German target,”
“A mixed unit of soldiers from the 82nd ‘Airborne’, comprised of men from ‘Easy’, ‘Able’ and ‘Dog Companies’, was joined by a lone member of the ‘French Resistance’. Their mission has never been officially acknowledged, and there is no record the unit ever existed. But those who were there gave it a name of its own: Murder Company.”

Stars: Cam Gigandet, Natalie Burn, Ser’Darius Blain, Jason Patric, Nicole Arlyn, Orlando Jones, Pancho Moler, D.Y. Sao | Written by Chad Law, Shane Dax Taylor | Directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.
As Til Death Do Us Part opens The Best Man sits in a pew working on his speech as upbeat music plays in the background. That’s followed by similar glimpses of other wedding party members prepping for the ceremony. A flashback to The Bride and Groom, nobody in this film has a name, on vacation serves to reinforce the happy image.
But Til Death Do Us Part isn’t a Hallmark Channel rom-com or Lifetime Channel thriller. Because when The Bride gets cold feet and bails on the wedding, we find out everyone involved in the ceremony is a highly skilled assassin. Now the stood-up Groom wants more than just his ring back, and their employer doesn’t take resignations well.

Shane Dax Taylor’s 2023 action/thriller The Best Man stars Dolph Lundgren, Luke Wilson, Nicky Whelan, and a host of other stars, but it barely delivers on the promises. An age-old story about retribution during a happy occasion that makes the occasion go horribly wrong serves as the plot of the movie, and it goes exactly how you’d imagine. It’s sad to see Dolph’s caliber wasted downing drinks and shooting at enemies with no room for growth for him or any of the characters involved. Here’s the detailed recap and ending of The Best Man.
Spoilers Ahead

The Best Man is a film directed by Shane Dax Taylor starring Brendan Fehr, Dolph Lundgren and Luke Wilson.
The Best Man: an 80s style action movie that brings back some nostalgia, piety and the best feelings.
80s action returns to rescue one of its lesser-known myths, Dolph Lundgren.
One of those action movies in which, mysteriously, we all agree there’s something missing.
The Best Man Movie Review
The Best Man is one of those bad action movies, a B-series video store film from which, deep down, we still try to get something good, especially due to the nostalgia that Dolph Lundgren brings us and the Die Hard-style eighties classicism that the whole set exhales, from its borrowed script to its protagonists, who also seem taken from another era in which cinema, at least, seemed different.

"Just – do your part, and I'll do mine..." Scream Factory has revealed an official trailer for an indie home invasion horror-thriller titled Masquerade, the latest from filmmaker Shane Dax Taylor. This seems like it should be going direct-to-dvd as there are just too many of these dull, derivative horror films these days. Masquerade follows 11-year-old Casey, who must survive the night after a group of intruders, led by Rose, break into her family's home to steal their priceless artwork. The stakes are high as the crew will stop at nothing to get what they want until a shocking twist ending. The cast features Alyvia Lind as Casey, Bella Thorne as Rose, plus Skyler Samuels, Mircea Monroe, Joana Metrass, Michael Proctor, & Austin Nichols. There's nothing to really say about this except that it looks especially unoriginal and very boring. Here's the official trailer for Shane Dax Taylor's Masquerade, direct from Scream...

A genre-standard bickering couple take their woes to a small island in the Bahamas, where they hope to patch things up and get back on the right track. That track puts them on the same path as two other couples; the charismatic William and Mary (Stephen Lang and Claudia Church) and the horny Max and Nina (Dominic Purcell and Marie Avgeropoulos). While out wining and dining with the former, their beach house is ransacked and robbed. But whodunit? And will they stop at robbery?
With a story which slow-burns like an incense candle, ambling along at a languid pace, Fugitives (aka Isolation) is not the action-heavy gunfight-palooza its cast and synopsis might suggest. Even the normally terrifying Stephen Lang is in laid-back mode here,...

"Do you two ever get lonely out here?" Lionsgate has released a trailer for an indie thriller titled Isolation, from director Shane Dax Taylor. This based-on-a-true story thriller about "modern day pirates" premiered at one small film festival in 2015 and never went anywhere, but it's finally getting a VOD release this spring. Isolation stars Tricia Helfer and Luke Mably as a couple on a vacation to a quiet part of the Bahamas. One day they wake up to find themselves under attack from a local. The cast includes Dominic Purcell, Marie Avgeropoulos, Claudia Church, Chelsea Edmundson, and Stephen Lang as another gnarly bad guy. Unsurprisingly this looks instantly forgettable, which explains why it took so long to be released. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Shane Dax Taylor's Isolation, direct from YouTube: Hoping to restore their flagging marriage, Lydia (Tricia Helfer) and Creighton (Luke Mably) journey to a remote island in the sun-drenched Bahamas.

Jeff Nichols’ ‘Mud’ is ‘no ordinary movie’ (photo: Matthew McConaughey in ‘Mud’) Ostensibly, writer-director Jeff Nichols’ Mud is about the titular character, played by Matthew McConaughey, who’s on the run from the law and the family of a man he killed for love of a woman, Juniper, played by a bedraggled Reese Witherspoon. That’s a fine, if ordinary, foundation for a thriller — though this is no ordinary movie by any stretch. In fact, Mud isn’t even about the character Mud; instead, it’s a coming-of-age story that’s part mystery, fable, and thriller. Beneath it all lies a love story — indeed, several love stories, all tied together through the heart of a young boy called Ellis (The Tree of Life‘s Tye Sheridan in an accomplished performance): a witness to the death of love in his family, Ellis feels it in his heart and is willing to do anything,...

Hollywoodnews.com: Johnny Depp prepares to set sail for a fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” adventure, though several key cast and crew members from the original three films have dropped anchor. Gone are Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley and director Gore Verbinski. In their place stands Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, director Rob Marshall and a whole lot of 3D imagery. Before you plunk down gold coins on “On Stranger Tides,” read our review of the fourth “Pirates” film, which opens everywhere today:
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (** out of 4)
No one – not Johnny Depp; not producer Jerry Bruckheimer; not Walt Disney, himself – would have predicted that we’d be discussing a fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” film when the studio gambled on a big-budget summer tentpole film based on a theme park ride.
The film easily could have sunk to the bottom of the box...

Title: Bloodworth Director: Shane Dax Taylor Starring: Val Kilmer, Reece Thompson, Hilary Duff, Kris Kristofferson, Dwight Yoakam, W. Earl Brown, Frances Conroy, Hilarie Burton With its just-so production design, characterized chiefly by rust, and a gallery of weathered and otherwise stunted characters fumbling toward some vaguely defined senses of purpose or peace, “Bloodworth”, based on William Gay’s novel “Provinces of Night”, slots comfortably in the cinematic canon of Southern Gothic, wherein everything and everyone is dadgum country-fied, and, well, ain’t that interesting and grand? This isn’t to say that the film, a drama about the long shadows of alcoholism, familial neglect and demons unaddressed, is a terrible or hokey thing,...

Earl Brown, Hilarie Burton, Sheila Kelley, Barry Corbin Ever stumble across a recipe that looks amazing on paper, has all the right ingredients to whet your appetite, but after you spend a couple of hours in the kitchen you wind up with a disappointing dish? That's Bloodworth in a nutshell for me. When I heard about this film my mouth watered just a little bit. A southern gothic family drama featuring Kris Kristofferson as a washed up country singer with Dwight Yoakam and Val Kilmer as his violent depressive alcoholic and hedonistic redneck sons? Throw in an appearance by Barry Corbin and a tiny cameo by Hank Williams' (that's Sr., mind you) grandson, Hank III for good measure. And T-Bone Burnett as Executive Music Producer?...
