The Hazbin Hotel creators have revealed their next show, and it is a surprising choice. Created by Vivienne Medrano, the animated musical series Hazbin Hotel has been a major hit and even led to the spinoff Helluva Boss.

Hazbin Hotel season 2 will make its Prime Video debut on October 29, 2025, and seasons 3 and 4 have already been renewed. Helluva Boss season 3 will also be coming to Prime Video.

According to ComicBook.com, it was revealed at Animate! Orlando that Medrano and the Hellaverse creative team's next show is Homestuck. They have been working on an animated pilot of the popular Internet fiction series that ran from 2009-2016, with the pilot coming to Medrano's YouTube channel in September, although the full series has not been optioned yet.

Several official manga translators of some of the most popular Shonen Jump titles have opened up about the unfair criticism and harassment they have witnessed over the years, as well as spoken about some of the issues plaguing the manga and translation industry at large.

Gizmodo interviewed several manga translators about the role's challenges, misconceptions and requirements, soliciting comments from those working on some of the biggest titles, including One Piece, Spy x Family and Undead Unluck. One of the biggest misconceptions was the pervasive idea that one translator, be it for anime, games or manga, is responsible for all decisions, some of which prove controversial or betray expectations. "Fans think it’s just like one shadowy person pulling the strings and making sure they don’t have a good time," David Evelyn said.

Shonen anime is all about its heroes. Without their efforts to rise above the challenges that are thrown in their paths, many of the worlds they occupy would meet a brutal end. There are multiple factors in place that shape a hero's story, with many of the strongest among them having been subjected to childhood trauma and other factors that could have easily pushed them to the dark side.

Because these protagonists are usually a symbol of hope for their world, just the thought of them being on the opposite side of the battle between good and evil is terrifying to consider. During a joint interview with several members of Jujutsu Kaisen's cast and crew, director Shota Goshozono explained the reason for what he refers to as Geto's "fall into darkness."

In Jujutsu Kaisen, Geto is introduced as a talented sorcerer with purely noble ambitions. The official Jujutsu Kaisen English manga release by Viz Media continues to thrive, but not without controversy. An official English voice actor for the anime has joined the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom in condemning the mangas questionable translations for North American readers.

Adam McArthur, the American voice actor for Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, posted a gif from the anime to express his confusion over the English translation of Chapter 267. Simply captioned "John Wery [sic]," McArthurs gif is an intentionally humorous scene from the anime where Yuji says, "I see. I dont get it," with a serious look on his face. John Werry is the credited translator of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga for Viz Media, who assumed the role from Stefan Koza following the latter's 10-year sentence for possessing child pornography. Jujutsu Kaisens Satoru Gojo is going back to his roots in Premium Bandais newest Jujutsu Kaisen merchandise. The distributor is releasing all-new apparel, including graphic T-shirts featuring full portraits of Jujutsu Kaisen characters, such as Gojo as a child.

Per Mantanweb, the new line is available on Premium Bandais Japanese website. The line consists of three T-shirts, each a full-color childhood portrait of the iconic Jujutsu Kaisen characters Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro and Riko Tenchi. Each T-shirt is available in mens sizes S-xl, priced at 4,500 yen (US$28.92). The shirts are currently available for pre-order and are scheduled to ship out in August 2024.

Hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion prepared for the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards by transforming herself into Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Stallion announced her arrival in Japan on Instagram by cosplaying as the fan-favorite Jujutsu Sorcerer. "We made it to Japan," Stallion said while wearing her chic rendition of Gojo's uniform. Stallion's costume is reminiscent of Gojo's dark blue zip-up jacket but stitched in leather with the midriff exposed. Her long, dark-colored hair is dyed white, and just like the Jujutsu instructor himself, Stallion is seen covering her eyes with a blindfold or, in other images, a pair of fashionable glasses.
