David Velasco was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. He has worked in the film and television industry for over 20 years as a location scout, location manager and production manager. He began his career as a production assistant on HBO's The Sopranos, and is best known for The Devil Wears Prada, American Hustle, and Shame.
