Film Bazaar, the film market that runs alongside the International Film Festival of India (Iffi), Goa, is partnering with Film Independent’s Global Media Makers program to launch a television writing workshop led by “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Army Wives” writer-producer Marlana Hope and Indian filmmaker Bikas Mishra, director of upcoming feature “Bayaan.”
The four-day Episodic Storytelling Workshop will take place at the Marriott Goa from Nov. 19-22, focusing on developing content for international audiences. The program will demystify the writing process from conceptualization to pitching, while providing participants with practical tools for developing material and understanding the international television landscape.
Global Media Makers operates as a cultural exchange program backed by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, focusing on mid-career writers, directors and producers in film and television. The program is implemented by Film Independent, the organization behind the Spirit Awards. Mishra is a Global Media Makers Fellow.

Contrary to what you may have heard, being a TV writer isn’t solely about the interminable daily ritual of placing, receiving and consuming each afternoon’s rigorously debated lunch order. No—there are also fantasy football teams to be managed and Nerf basketballs to be bounced from one end of the workspace to the other. That, plus the tricky business of using one’s imagination to dream up the characters, storylines and dialogue that so many millions of people around the world build their lives around, e.g. a highly demanding creative act that often requires just as much strategic distraction as it does pure artistic inspiration. And all this is even before we even get to strikes, AI and a post-Peak TV landscape where the number of shows are actually contracting for the first time this century.
So yeah—it’s a hard industry to build a career in.

Grey Sloan Memorial hospital is getting six new interns this season on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, one who has already made their debut. Hey, "Grey's Anatomy" fans. We got some new, official preview details from ABC for the upcoming episode 4 of this current season 14 in the form of an episode press release. It sounds like we're going to see even more drama and surprises in this one. One particular situation is going to involve the ongoing and unfortunate brain tumor that Amelia has been inflicted with. Episode 4 is entitled, "Ain't That A Kick In The Head." The episode 4 teaser description tells us that a big confrontation will take place in regards to Amelia. It states that she will have to confront a very difficult decision. ABC didn't say what this decision entails, but we can only imagine it has something to do with her current condition. We'll definitely have to tune in to find out for sure. It sounds like it will give us some more very emotional scenes to look forward to.
