Fox Entertainment Global (Feg) has hired Fifth Season’s Liz Tang to run UK content and acquisitions, less than a year after her former boss Prentiss Fraser made the jump to Feg.

In the newly-created role based in London, Tang will oversee content management for the distribution division of Fox Entertainment in the UK along with acquiring shows from producers to add to Feg’s global distribution slate. Fox runs Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay Global out of the UK and sells the indie’s Next Level Chef, Next Level Baker and Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service. Also out of the UK, Feg sells the upcoming Best Medicine, which is based on hit UK series Doc Martin, and biblical drama The Faithful.

Tang has spent the past five years at Severance studio Fifth Season (formerly Endeavor), leading a global team that acquired and financed scripted and unscripted projects for the TV distribution business.

Netflix seems to have found its Coach Lasso in Nathan, a character from the upcoming adult animated series Haunted Hotel, who gives off strong Ted Lasso vibes in the recently dropped trailer on Netflix’s YouTube channel. The most striking part is perhaps that Nathan is rocking the same thick, mid-brown mustache that has become Coach Lasso’s defining feature over the years.

At the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, attendees heard a surprise announcement during the Rick and Morty panel: The insult-spewing, turkey-transforming commander-in-chief from the show is getting his own spin-off on Adult Swim.

Called Presidential Curtis, the series will follow the commander-in-chief and his staff as they “tackle the kind of crises that Rick Sanchez could never be bothered with — from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena.” The show will also be executive produced by Dan Harmon and James Siciliano and will feature Stephanie Beatriz and Jim Rash in yet-to-be-named supporting roles.

As we may have mentioned once or twice in the past, working on Community wasn’t always the easiest job, thanks in large part to Caddyshack star/toilet fortune heir Chevy Chase.

The former Saturday Night Live cast member famously antagonized his co-stars, lobbing racist insults at Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover — sometimes involving the N-word — and straight-up physically fighting Joel McHale. Meaning that the only way Chase’s going to be in the Community movie is if a fan edits him in using clips from old National Lampoon movies.

Also contentious was the relationship between Chase and creator Dan Harmon, who isn't exactly known for being the chillest personality to deal with either. Famously, Harmon “publicly reprimanded Chase in front of his family and colleagues” during a wrap party, allowing frustrated crew members to collectively, cathartically shout, “Fuck you, Chevy!”

Rick and Mortyco-creator Dan Harmon has offered an update on the series ahead of the series' Season 8 finale. He also shared some of his favorite moments from the show.

"I'm really bad at keeping track these days because we're so on schedule that we're ahead of schedule," Harmon told The Hollywood Reporter when the question came up during San Diego Comic-Con 2025. "I was told last night that at Comic-Con, we will be doing a table read of the two Beths episode [Season 8, Episode 6, "The Curicksous Case of Bethjamin Button"]. My response was very sincerely, 'Maybe I should punch that script up.' And [executive producer] Steve Levy said, 'It already aired on television.' I've become my own Chevy Chase now."

Harmon also hinted at the future of Rick and Morty. Recording of voice work for Season 9 is already underway with writing for some episodes of Season 10 complete. "Definitely very new, very alien," he said about being ahead of schedule.

If Rick’s battles with the President are your favorite part of “Rick and Morty,” you’re in for a treat. Adult Swim is moving forward with “President Curtis,” a new show set in the original show’s universe that will see Keith David reprise his role as the titular world leader. The announcement was made during Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty” panel on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con.

President Curtis has long been a beloved recurring character on “Rick and Morty.” A sarcastic man who both hates and begrudgingly respects Rick, he often battles and competes with the smartest man in the galaxy, using the U.S. government’s arsenal of top-secret inventions and military secrets. “President Curtis” will follow the Commander-in-Chief and his eccentric staff as they handle all the crises that Rick thinks are beneath him, a long list that includes everything from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations.

Adult Swim is adding a new dimension to the Rick and Morty universe.

During the animated series’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, the show’s team announced an animated spinoff, President Curtis, centering on voice actor Keith David’s titular character, who has been a Rick and Morty series regular since the season 2 fan-favorite “Get Schwifty” episode. President Curtis is co-created by Rick and Morty executive producers Dan Harmon and James Siciliano.

Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Jim Rash (Community) will round out the voice cast for the new project. President Curtis will follow the commander-in-chief and his quirky staff as they navigate a range of crises, including interdimensional diplomacy, paranormal investigations, and unexplained phenomena. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

“President Curtis has always been a blast to play,” David said in a statement. “Getting to explore his world more deeply in this new series is a dream.

Keith David, who voices the President of the United States in Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, is getting his own spinoff.

The Warner Bros Discovery-owned cable network has ordered President Curtis. The announcement came as David made a surprise appearance Friday at the Rick and Morty panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The series, co-created by Dan Harmon and James Siciliano, will see David reprise his role as President Andre Curtis, a longtime rival of the duo. He will be joined by Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz and Community’s Jim Rash in the voice cast.

President Curtis follows the Commander-in-Chief and his eccentric staff as they tackle the kind of crises that Rick Sanchez could never be bothered with, from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena.

Harmon and Siciliano serve as executive producers alongside Danielle Uhlarik, Monica Mitchell and Steve Levy.

How did you end up playing Gearhead?

Hulu is all set to stream the classic sitcom Community. With an IMDb rating of 8.5 and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 88%, the show deserved a better fate, and you can’t fight me on this.
