Matas Danielius

I'm Matas Danielius. I'm a theatre and film actor.

As an actor and entrepreneur based in Thailand, my journey to where I am today has been anything but ordinary. Born in Lithuania during its occupation by the USSR, my desire for freedom and self-expression has been a driving force in my life. It led me to acting, which has also served as a form of therapy for me. During my degree in Drama at A.R.U, Cambridge, I discovered the work of Antonin Artaud, Jerzy Grotowski, Tatsumi Hijikata, Yoshi Oida and Michael Chekhov, which greatly influenced my performance style and shaped my personality.

Over the past decade, I have had the opportunity to work on a range of groundbreaking projects as an actor, director, producer, and writer. Alongside my acting career, I have also developed a passion for entrepreneurship and am currently the co-founder of Whatnot Startup Studio and Gaorai, an agri-tech platform. I also serve as an advisor for KX Knowledge Exchange innovation center and am actively involved in the Thai startup ecosystem through networking, mentoring, and lecturing at various universities and startup incubation and acceleration programs.

As someone who has experienced both the creative and business sides of the entertainment and innovation industries, I bring a unique perspective and set of skills to my work as an actor. I am constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and challenge myself, and I am committed to using my talents to tell meaningful stories and make a positive impact.
