Almost 10 years have passed since Grimm came to an end in 2017 on NBC after six seasons, but as diehard fans know very well, there's a distinct possibility that the series and our favorite characters could return to our screens in the future. After the project was announced to be in development earlier this year, we finally have an "exciting" update from Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Tulloch shared some exclusive details we hadn't heard yet about the potential Grimm reboot, telling the outlet that a script is still being written and that her costar and real-life husband David Giuntoli met with the creative team behind the in-the-works follow-up. That's the most positive news we have received yet about the next chapter of Grimm.

Supernatural was a television mainstay for a number of years. Created by Eric Kripke, the series began in 2005 and tells a fantastical story of two brothers who are all fighting supernatural beings, including monsters, demons, and more. The show had a massive following and managed to get through 15 seasons.

Kripke's series was released during a time when fantastical series like that were in style. Six years after Supernatural's debut, Once Upon a Time was released. This catered to a slightly different audience, replacing the Winchesters and their demons with classic fairy tale characters. Still, it showed the persistence of the fantasy genre.

There was another series that came out that same year, 2011, with fairy tale and dark fantasy elements. This series worked these supernatural elements into a cop drama. Now, one of that show's main stars speaks about a reboot project.

Original Grimmstar Elizabeth Tulloch gives fans a major update on the series' hotly anticipated revival.

Speaking toTVLine, Tulloch responded to questions about the status of the series' long-awaited reboot with, "I know there's a script being written, and I know that [original star] David [Giuntoli] met with them. I don't think they would do a reboot or a spinoff or whatever it's going to be without David’s involvement."

"It's pretty exciting. A lot of people are sort of finding Grimm," Tulloch added, going on to note the sheer number of new fans that have espoused their love for the series to her at various conventions and other events. Regarding whether she would return to reprise either of her roles as romantic interest turned Hexenbeist Juliette Silverton or the enigmatic Eve from the show, Tulloch said, "I think it would depend on the script. Yeah, what their vision is for the character."

It may be why I recently wrote about genre television and missing series like Midnight, Texas. Something about the combination of genre and summer programming scratched a special itch that has been hard to replicate since then.

In between rewatching bits of The Originals and losing sleep to late-night ER marathons, I decided to finally check out Grimm — a series that many have recommended to me countless times.

High Potential Season 2 may not arrive until the fall, but the stars were quick to tease what’s on the horizon when TV Insider caught up with them at the Disney Upfronts in New York City on May 13. As viewers will recall, the series follows Morgan Gillroy (Kaitlin Olson), a woman with a genius-level Iq who teams with the LAPD to solve cases, the last of which was a real brain teaser. In Season 1’s finale, a psychopath toys with the LAPD by kidnapping people from a grief counseling group, among which included one of their own, Oz (Deniz Akdeniz). While the case didn’t yield strong results in terms of finding the perp, Morgan seemingly crossed paths with the man who is being played by David Giuntoli. But by the time Morgan realized who this mystery man was in connection to the case, she’d lost track of him.

ABC has big plans for the second season of High Potential. For starters, the crime drama will produce 18 episodes (up from 13 in Season 1), allowing the show to widen its scope and give the ensemble cast more chances to shine.

“With 18 episodes, we’ll get a little more breathing room to just enjoy our time,” cast member Javicia Leslie (Daphne) recently told TVLine on the carpet at the Disney Upfront, adding that she’s especially excited for the show’s two-episode premiere. Though a return date has not been set, High Potential will air Tuesdays at 10/9c this fall.

If you look at a lot of the best films in the superhero genre, a common denominator is Batman. By the time High Potential wrapped its first season on ABC, Kaitlin Olson’s character was basically drowning in eligible bachelors.

Many fans are pulling for Morgan to end up with Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), her new partner at the LAPD, while others are curious to see where things go between Morgan and Tom (Jd Pardo), the janitor-turned-nurse with whom she was getting hot and heavy before he relocated to San Diego for work. Heck, people are even ‘shipping Morgan with David Giuntoli’s mystery character, who has only gotten about 30 seconds of screen time — and we don’t even know his name yet!

After an incredible premiere season, High Potential is walking away as the show that everyone wants more of — this TV Fanatic included.

Not only did the series showcase Kaitlin Olson’s incredible range as an actor, but it also left audiences hooked with outstanding writing and character development.

Despite this report card’s “worst episode” section, every High Potential episode was even more amazing than the last.

Popular ABC crime drama High Potential recently wrapped its first season and the finale did not disappoint. The episode ended by setting up a villain story arc for Season 2.

The episode, titled "Let's Play," pushed the LAPD to its limits as Morgan and the team tried to catch a criminal mastermind. Due to several false leads, the wrong person ended up on their radar while the real bad guy (played by David Giuntoli) roamed free. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Todd Harthan explained that the mystery character may be the focus in the next season. "I love a good serialized villain," he said. "I also love going into a Season 2 where there might be another surprise or two, so it’s a bit of an open box."

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch recently discussed The CW show, sharing their thoughts on the season finale. Titled "It Went By So Fast," the final episode aired on December 2, 2024, and depicted the iconic characters' respective deaths three decades after putting away their archnemesis Lex Luthor.

Hoechlin and Tulloch were on Megacon's Superman & Lois panel. In response to Cbr's question about their initial reaction to Superman & Lois Season 4's script, Tulloch responded, "I was surprised they went so full circle." Hoechlin added, "I thought it was very bold. When I read it, I felt different than when we started shooting it. I knew it would be good." In the season finale, Lois passes away after her cancer returns, with Clark joining her in the afterlife a few years later after dying of heart failure. The pair, however, enjoyed a full life together before their deaths.

After six seasons and 123 episodes, NBC cancelled the monster-filled series “Grimm” back in 2017, but it seems popular shows never quite stay dead in today’s streaming landscape.

On that note, Deadline reports this afternoon that Peacock is developing the revival of “Grimm,” which will take the form of a feature film on the Peacock streaming service.

Deadline details in today’s exclusive report, “Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman is writing the new take, which he is executive producing with the original series’ creative team, co-creators/executive producers and showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television.”

“The exact premise of the Grimm movie is kept under wraps,” Deadline notes. “It is believed to have ties to the series for diehard fans but could also be easily accessed by new viewers not familiar with the original mythology as it introduces new mythology and characters.

“Grimm” is coming back from the dead — this time, in the form of a movie.

Josh Berman, the creator of Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva,” is writing the “Grimm” movie, which he is executive producing with the original series showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, as well as original EPs Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television are the studios behind the reboot.

Peacock is heading back to the well to revive another hit NBC series from the past. Next up for the streaming service is a new movie that will revisit 14-year-old TV show Grimm.

Per Deadline, it's been revealed that a reboot movie of Grimm is now in development. Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva) is attached to write the film. As of now, the premise of the film hasn't been revealed, and it's not clear how it will tie into the original series. Reportedly, the film is meant to connect to the TV show in some fashion as a way to be satisfactory for diehard fans, but it's also believed to be written in a way that's accessible for people who never saw the original Grimm. Potentially, the film could launch a new franchise, depending upon how well it is received.
