'Grimm's Elizabeth Tulloch Confirms a Script for the Reboot Is in Development
Image
It has been almost a decade since NBC's supernatural drama Grimm came to an end in 2017 after six seasons. However, in an age of revivals and reboots, there was always a distinct possibility that the series and its audiences' favorite characters could return to our screens in the future. That proved to be the case as, seven months ago, news broke that a Grimm reboot project was in development. With the streaming platform, Peacock, set as its landing zone, the reboot would look to reintroduce the fantastical world of Grimms and Wesen to audiences, both old and new. Now, after an extended period without much word, original star, Elizabeth Tulloch, gives fans a major update on the project's status.

Speaking in a recent interview, Tulloch provided fans with some long-awaited details regarding the upcoming project. The actress revealed that a script was available and that co-star and real-life husband,...

Image
While Elizabeth Tulloch is best known for her recent role as Lois Lane in Superman & Lois on The CW, she was one of the Og cast members of NBC’s Grimm. The supernatural series has certainly seen a resurgence of interest in recent years, and now there are talks of a reboot.

Since the initial news of a Grimm reboot in the works at Peacock, everyone has been silent about it all. However, Tulloch talked with TVLine about the development, and she offers some hopeful updates about it.

Elizabeth Tulloch delivers a promising update for the Grimm reboot
Image
Almost 10 years have passed since Grimm came to an end in 2017 on NBC after six seasons, but as diehard fans know very well, there's a distinct possibility that the series and our favorite characters could return to our screens in the future. After the project was announced to be in development earlier this year, we finally have an "exciting" update from Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Tulloch shared some exclusive details we hadn't heard yet about the potential Grimm reboot, telling the outlet that a script is still being written and that her costar and real-life husband David Giuntoli met with the creative team behind the in-the-works follow-up. That's the most positive news we have received yet about the next chapter of Grimm.

As Tulloch teased to TV Line, "I know there’s a script being written, and I know that David met with them.

Reboot Of Supernatural’s Best Replacement Gets Encouraging Update From Original Star
Image
Supernatural was a television mainstay for a number of years. Created by Eric Kripke, the series began in 2005 and tells a fantastical story of two brothers who are all fighting supernatural beings, including monsters, demons, and more. The show had a massive following and managed to get through 15 seasons.

Kripke's series was released during a time when fantastical series like that were in style. Six years after Supernatural's debut, Once Upon a Time was released. This catered to a slightly different audience, replacing the Winchesters and their demons with classic fairy tale characters. Still, it showed the persistence of the fantasy genre.

There was another series that came out that same year, 2011, with fairy tale and dark fantasy elements. This series worked these supernatural elements into a cop drama. Now, one of that show's main stars speaks about a reboot project.

'There's A Script:' Grimm Actor Offers Hopeful Update on Potential Peacock Reboot
Image
Original Grimmstar Elizabeth Tulloch gives fans a major update on the series' hotly anticipated revival.

Speaking toTVLine, Tulloch responded to questions about the status of the series' long-awaited reboot with, "I know there's a script being written, and I know that [original star] David [Giuntoli] met with them. I don't think they would do a reboot or a spinoff or whatever it's going to be without David’s involvement."

"It's pretty exciting. A lot of people are sort of finding Grimm," Tulloch added, going on to note the sheer number of new fans that have espoused their love for the series to her at various conventions and other events. Regarding whether she would return to reprise either of her roles as romantic interest turned Hexenbeist Juliette Silverton or the enigmatic Eve from the show, Tulloch said, "I think it would depend on the script. Yeah, what their vision is for the character."

I Finally Watched the Grimm Pilot, and I’m Not Sold … Yet
Image
I have been on a genre kick.

It may be why I recently wrote about genre television and missing series like Midnight, Texas. Something about the combination of genre and summer programming scratched a special itch that has been hard to replicate since then.

In between rewatching bits of The Originals and losing sleep to late-night ER marathons, I decided to finally check out Grimm — a series that many have recommended to me countless times.

(Scott Green/NBC)

So, because everyone has spoken so highly about this series, I popped in the first episode of Grimm.

And it was … fine.

But to be fair, I vividly recall Grimm and Once Upon a Time out around the same time. And if there’s one pilot I’m obsessed with, it’s the Ouat one.

Image
Scott Speedman is booked and busy: The Felicity and Animal Kingdom vet, who continues to recur on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy as Meredith’s main squeeze, has landed the title role in the network’s Rj Decker pilot, TVLine has confirmed.

Adapted from the Carl Hiaasen novel Double Whammy, the potential drama centers on Rj Decker, a disgraced newspaper photographer/ex-con who “starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida, tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre, with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife and a shadowy new...

With ‘High Potential,’ Kaitlin Olson Finally Gets to Go Darker
Image
If there’s one thing Kaitlin Olson has perfected since making her television debut as Cheryl’s snarky sister, Becky, on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” 25 years ago, it’s playing wacky, edgy, self-absorbed characters with questionable moral codes. She’s done it for the better part of two decades on FX’s “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” TV’s longest-running live-action sitcom (and still going), where she portrays narcissistic pub waitress Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds. She did it for two seasons on Fox’s “The Mick” as a foul-mouthed smoker unfit to raise her wealthy sister’s kids. More recently, her performance on Max’s “Hacks” as Jean Smart’s entitled daughter, DJ, earned Olson two Emmy nominations. So it was more than a surprise when “High Potential,” ABC’s freshman crime procedural adapted from the French/Belgian series “Hpi,” piqued Olson’s interest.

“I was not looking to be on...

Image
High Potential stars Deniz Akdeniz and Javicia Leslie recently opened up about the team’s latest major case in the upcoming second season of the ABC crime drama. Akdeniz and Leslie have been playing the respective roles of Major Crimes investigators Oz Ozdil and Daphne Forrester.

High Potential Season 1 ends with Morgan realizing that a psychopath has set his sights on her, after finding that she is a worthy opponent in his games. During a recent interview with TV Insider, Akdeniz confirmed that the second season will begin with the team trying to find the person behind kidnappings and Jigsaw-like puzzle games. "There's a serial killer or a game player out on the loose that we have to really resolve, and I think the start of the season will definitely address that," he said. ‘High Potential’ Stars Tease Intense Season 2 Mystery & Shifting Dynamics
Image
High Potential Season 2 may not arrive until the fall, but the stars were quick to tease what’s on the horizon when TV Insider caught up with them at the Disney Upfronts in New York City on May 13. As viewers will recall, the series follows Morgan Gillroy (Kaitlin Olson), a woman with a genius-level Iq who teams with the LAPD to solve cases, the last of which was a real brain teaser. In Season 1’s finale, a psychopath toys with the LAPD by kidnapping people from a grief counseling group, among which included one of their own, Oz (Deniz Akdeniz). While the case didn’t yield strong results in terms of finding the perp, Morgan seemingly crossed paths with the man who is being played by David Giuntoli. But by the time Morgan realized who this mystery man was in connection to the case, she’d lost track of him.

An Underrated Batman Movie Is A Love Letter To H.P. Lovecraft's Cosmic Horror
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Batman may be the most grounded of the major superheroes. He has no superpowers, just years of athletic training and cultivating of knowledge. The most acclaimed Batman movies, Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" films, were all about adding realism to the legend of Batman, which has definitely affected public perception of and expectations of a Batman film. But that realism can be limiting. Batman is a fantastic pulp adventurer, and ideally, Gotham City should be a place where the impossible can happen.

One Batman movie that dives right into the unrealistic is 2023's "Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham." Adapted from a 2001 comic mini-series by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace, and Troy Nixey, "The Doom That Came to Gotham" is one of the best animated Batman films ever made. It's an "Elseworlds" tale, which reimagines a DC hero in a different time or genre.

“We Don’t Know If This Woman Met Her Match”: Kaitlin Olson Teases ’High Potential’ Season 2’s Exciting New Storylines
Image
It’s been a few months since High Potential bowed out following its first season and fans have been champing at the bit for any information about Season 2. With networks canceling projects left and right, we were lucky enough to know back in January that the Kaitlin Olson-led comedy drama procedural would return for a sophomore follow-up. Since then, information has been sparse, but thanks to Olson’s appearance at Disney’s annual Upfront presentation in New York City, we have some intel for all the High Potential stans out there. For starters, it sounds like the second season will kick off with not just one, but two episodes that Olson said will address plenty of our leftover questions from that cliffhanger finale. Speaking with TV Insider on the carpet outside the event, Olson said,

“We left you on a cliffhanger, and so it’s kind of a three-part cliffhanger,...

‘High Potential’ Star Kaitlin Olson on Morgan & Karadec’s Dynamic: ‘We’re Going to Slow Burn That’
Image
High Potential‘s second season is on the horizon as the hit starring Kaitlin Olson prepares for its ABC return this fall. In anticipation of the show’s return, the cast was on the carpet at Disney’s annual Upfront presentation in New York City on May 13, where they offered some exciting updates, including takes on the Morgan (Olson) and Karadec (Daniel Sunjata) dynamic, as well as David Giuntoli‘s mystery character. The first script for Season 2 has already been completed, so what’s in store for Morgan after she came face-to-face with a dangerous criminal who had targeted a grief group in Season 1’s finale? “We left you on a cliffhanger, and so it’s kind of a three-part cliffhanger, ‘cause we don’t know if this woman met her match in the gamemaster, you don’t know what’s going on with Karadec, and there’s always the Roman question,...

The 10 Best Animated Batman Movies, Ranked
Image
If you look at a lot of the best films in the superhero genre, a common denominator is Batman. The Caped Crusader's 80+ year legacy makes him one of the comic book heroes most open for interpretation. Different filmmakers have produced widely different, yet equally excellent, Batman movies. 1966's "Batman: The Movie" is a camp classic. "Batman Returns" is a gothic German Expressionist melodrama only Tim Burton could have made. Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" and Matt Reeves' "The Batman" are both fantastic crime dramas with big ideas most superhero movies don't even reach for.

But it'd be a big mistake to leave animation out of this conversation. "Batman: The Animated Series" is generally considered the finest Batman adaptation ever, proof positive the Dark Knight can excel on film no matter the medium. There are also many more animated Batman movies than live-action ones at this point. Many of them...

High Potential Season 2 Will Explore ‘What Really Happened’ Between Morgan and Ludo

By the time High Potential wrapped its first season on ABC, Kaitlin Olson’s character was basically drowning in eligible bachelors.

Many fans are pulling for Morgan to end up with Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), her new partner at the LAPD, while others are curious to see where things go between Morgan and Tom (Jd Pardo), the janitor-turned-nurse with whom she was getting hot and heavy before he relocated to San Diego for work. Heck, people are even ‘shipping Morgan with David Giuntoli’s mystery character, who has only gotten about 30 seconds of screen time — and we don’t even know his name yet!

It’s the question on every High Potential fan’s mind after last week’s season finale: Who the heck is David Giuntoli playing?

The following contains spoilers for High Potential, Season 1, Episode 13, "Let's Play."

Popular ABC crime drama High Potential recently wrapped its first season and the finale did not disappoint. The episode ended by setting up a villain story arc for Season 2.

The episode, titled "Let's Play," pushed the LAPD to its limits as Morgan and the team tried to catch a criminal mastermind. Due to several false leads, the wrong person ended up on their radar while the real bad guy (played by David Giuntoli) roamed free. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Todd Harthan explained that the mystery character may be the focus in the next season. "I love a good serialized villain," he said. The ABC procedural wrapped its first season on Tuesday by pitting the LAPD against a sadistic strategist, one whose deadly games tested Morgan’s team like never before. Poor Oz almost died at the bottom of a pool, ultimately saved by Morgan’s quick thinking and Karadec’s even-quicker swimming.

Reboots are all the rage now, and here’s a quick rundown of every network show that is getting the treatment!

Paramount+ just canceled the revival of Fraiser and some old cable shows like White Collar may get the sequel treatment soon.

For network shows, it looks like reboots won’t be dying anytime soon. Networks rely on name recognition for a TV show and often help if the original actors or creators take part in it. Some shows may seem to not need a reboot, while others are shows fans would love to see coming back.

Peacock Revives “Grimm” with Original Creators
David Giuntoli in Grimm (2011)
According to Peacock, a revival of the supernatural drama “Grimm” is under development. David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, the original show’s writers and showrunners, will return for this new project. Josh Berman, who has written for “Drop Dead Diva,” “CSI,” and “The Blacklist,” is writing the project.

Not much is known about the revival yet. Talks are going on right now about whether it will be a full-length movie or a new series. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner are the original executive directors of the production team. Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television are running the project.

Cult fantasy series Grimm is being resurrected as a feature-length television film. If it’s a success, a sequel series could follow. Hurrah!

Reboots of much loved television shows are nothing new; in fact, they seem to be in vogue at the moment, with the likes of teen shows iCarly, Zoey 101 and The Thundermans all being produced in recent years, as well as dramas like Monk and the hit sitcom, Frasier.

Meanwhile, Grimm is the latest drama to get the reboot treatment.

According to Deadline, a feature length television film is in development at Peacock. If you’re not familiar, the show was a fantasy drama which followed Portland Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), who discovers he is a Grimm, the latest in a line of guardians who are sworn to keep the balance between humanity and mythological creatures.

Premiering in 2011, the show also starred Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch,...

'Grimm' Reboot Movie in the Works At Peacock
Image
Grimm is officially back, but not in the way fans had been expecting. In 2017, the dark fantasy series from NBC finished its six-season run, with a spinoff announced shortly thereafter before being silently canceled as well. No news has been heard about the property for over six years, at least until now. Grimm is being rebooted for the modern streaming world, this time as a full-fledged feature film.

According to Deadline, Peacock is developing a film reboot of NBC's Grimm. The upcoming movie will be written by Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman, who will be joined by the show's original creative team, including co-showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, as producers. Plot details are scarce, but it's reported that the Grimm film serves as a new jumping-off point set within the same universe. Expect new characters to populate the movie, while also appealing to the show's loyal fanbase with...

After six seasons and 123 episodes, NBC cancelled the monster-filled series “Grimm” back in 2017, but it seems popular shows never quite stay dead in today’s streaming landscape.

On that note, Deadline reports this afternoon that Peacock is developing the revival of “Grimm,” which will take the form of a feature film on the Peacock streaming service.

Deadline details in today’s exclusive report, “Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman is writing the new take, which he is executive producing with the original series’ creative team, co-creators/executive producers and showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television.”

“The exact premise of the Grimm movie is kept under wraps,” Deadline notes. “It is believed to have ties to the series for diehard fans but could also be easily accessed by new viewers not familiar with the original mythology as it introduces new mythology and characters.

All Six Seasons of 'Grimm' Are Now Streaming on Peacock
Image
NBC's Grimm, one of the most underrated dark fantasy shows of the past decade, has now hit streaming. Featuring a likable cast that went on to become familiar faces, Grimm followed a supernatural hunter who battled classic fantasy creatures. A forgotten gem from the 2010s, Grimm was a rare instance when the modernization of classic fairy and folk tales worked as a procedural. It's not perfect by any means, especially in the show's latter seasons, but there is enough to keep fantasy lovers invested from start to finish.

All six seasons of Grimm are now available to stream on Peacock. The show stars David Giuntoli as Nicholas "Nick" Burkhardt, a homicide detective who comes from a long line of "Grimms," which have the superhuman ability to see the mythological creatures known as the Wesen. Alongside his partner, Detective Hank (Russell Hornsby), they solve week-to-week mysteries revolving around the Wesen...

When fans saw Superman & Lois turn Bizarro into Doomsday, they were skeptical at first. They wondered if it would be mishandled the way Zack Snyder's Doomsday was after being made from the DNA of General Zod. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Doomsday was layered with humanity like never before.

However, that didn't change one fact: Michael Cudlitz's Lex Luthor kept finding ways to unleash him as a hound of war. Despite the sympathy that viewers had for the tragic Doomsday, viewers knew he had to die. It comes in the series finale, but it's handled in the best possible way, evoking a lot of emotion,...

What Another World Alums and Real Life Husband and Wife Thomas Ian Griffith and Mary Page Keller Are Up To
Image
In the ’80s, Mary Page Keller and Thomas Ian Griffith played one of the hottest couples on daytime television. As Caitlin Ewing and Sally Frame on Another World, their characters faced drama and even an invalid wedding. In real life, the two have been married since 1991. They’re both flourishing in their professional careers, too. Most recently, they have both made their mark on the Netflix hit drama Virgin River, a series which features plenty of soapy elements.

The Actors

Over the years, the husband and wife have continued to act in various projects. In fact, Griffith’s appearance as the villainous Terry Silver in 1989’s Karate Kid III allowed him to bring that character to the current TV reimagining of the Karate Kid franchise called Cobra Kai. Silver’s back during this final season of the drama. The second part of the show’s sixth and final season drops on Netflix on November 15.

Many of the best horror TV shows ever made managed to present creepy narratives while not losing themselves in gory imagery or being packed with cheap jump scares.
