James Gunn has made some big movies, like Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad. But in a recent interview with French outlet Konbini, he didn’t talk about superheroes. Instead, he talked about a small bear in a blue coat.

During the interview, Gunn stopped at a display for Paddington in Peru and admitted he hadn’t seen it yet. But he didn’t hold back when talking about the previous film in the series. “Paddington 2 is a classic film,” he said. “It’s one of the greatest movies ever made. People think I’m being ironic when I say that, but I’m telling the truth.”

That’s a strong take, but he’s far from the only one who feels that way.

Paddington 2, which came out in 2017, is a live-action and animated comedy directed by Paul King. He also co-wrote it with Simon Farnaby.

“Ghosts” Season 4 has cast Nat Faxon in a guest star role, Variety has learned.

Faxon will appear in an upcoming episode of the hit CBS comedy as founding father Alexander Hamilton, who fans of the show know is the rival of Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones). The episode will air in early 2025.

Faxon is an Academy Award winner, sharing the award for best adapted screenplay with Alexander Payne and Jim Rash for the 2012 film “The Descendants.” He currently stars in the Apple TV+ comedy series “Loot” opposite Maya Rudolph, which is going into its third season. Faxon’s other TV credits include “The Conners,” “Our Flag Means Death,” “Gaslit,” and “Friends From College.” He is also known for films like “The Way Way Back,” which he co-wrote and co-directed with Rash.

He is repped by CAA, Artists First, and Goodman Genow.

Before production had begun on the anticipated film adaptation of Enid Blyton‘s The Magic Faraway Tree, director Ben Gregor worried that he’d put one of his stars, Andrew Garfield, off a little bit.

“We wrote a song for the film and we sent it to Andrew early on,” Gregor explains to The Hollywood Reporter. “And I hadn’t worked with him yet and you don’t know… With actors sometimes, you can put them off.”

But Garfield loved it. The gesture ended up being instrumental in the atmosphere that Gregor later cultivated on set — one of true-heartedness, trust, and that crucial Blyton ingredient: magic. “Everybody was putting themselves out there,” Gregor says.

The project, ostensibly about the prince from “Cinderella” who goes on a quest to find her after she leaves a single glass slipper behind, is based on a script that King wrote with Jon Croker and frequent collaborator Simon Farnaby.

Hemsworth is obviously a part of the larger Disney family, having essayed the role of Thor in many Marvel Studios movies beginning with 2011’s “Thor” and, most recently, in Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” in 2022. Earlier this year, Hemsworth played wasteland maniac Dementus in George Miller’s “Furiosa” and took on the role of Optimus Prime in Josh Cooley’s “Transformers One.”
